"I've been there already," admitted Allison.
"What?"
"I just went to check his house out when I first had a bad feeling."
Five nodded, impressed.
They walked up the drive.
"Be careful, okay?" said Allison. "We don't know what Peabody's capable of."
"Yeah, he didn't seem dangerous when I first saw him," said Diego. "Looked kinda scrawny."
"Yeah, well, so are most serial killers and mass murderers," said Alexis.
"I mean, look at him," added Allison, gesturing to Five.
"Thanks."
"Good point," said Diego. "So what's this guy want with Vanya?"
Allison motioned to Alexis, and the two women crept around the back of the house. They walked through the hall to find Diego lying on the floor, surrounded by glass.
"Nice," said Alexis.
"Subtle," said Allison.
Diego groaned.
"You know, the door was unlocked," said Five.
"Yeah, well, my way works just fine," said Diego, huffing. "Spread out. Yell if you, uh... you know, you're in trouble."
Five sighed.
"Ah, inspiring leadership," he said.
"One of the greats," Allison laughed.
Alexis crept round the living room, which all looked scarily average. She wasn't sure what she had expected, but it definitely wasn't this. She supposed that she probably didn't know much about serial killers in the first place. After all, she had only met two, and neither of them had tried to kill her. Not yet, at least.
She jumped as Allison's voice floated down the stairs.
"Guys, you need to see this."
She ran up the stairs, just behind Five.
"Are you okay?" she asked, noticing his limp.
He waved his hand as they came into the attic. The room before her was filled with pictures of... them. The Umbrella Academy. On closer inspection, it seemed these weren't normal posters.
"Oh, shit," said Alexis.
"All our faces are burnt off," said Allison slowly.
"Well, that's not creepy. This guy's got some serious issues."
Alexis, standing behind Five, was very confused. Why would someone be so obsessed with this group of people? What had they ever done?
"This was never about Vanya," said Alexis.
She looked to Five, who was swaying slightly. He gasped, and Alexis thrust out her arms to catch him as he fell to the ground, limp.
"Five, what the hell? " said Alexis, lowering him down. "Next time, tell me."
Allison and Diego rushed over.
"Five. What the hell?"
He groaned as Allison gingerly lifted up his shirt.
"Wh... Blood."
There was a large wound in his abdomen.
"Jesus, Five," said Diego. "Why didn't you say anything?"
