I'll Take Not Bad (45)

 Miyako's POV

Turning to look at the voice, a small smile creeped onto my face, "Yeah course!" Waving goodbye to the other siblings I began to walk over to Temari. I couldn't help but wonder what she had to say to me. "So what's up?" she looked over to me and I couldn't help but notice her hands fidgeting. "Well basically..." Her voice began to get much faster as she spoke, "..I was wondering if you would like to come mine and have like a girls nights, don't worry if you don't want to though, its just a thought." I couldn't help but smile at the girl, "You really got all worked up to invite me over for a sleepover?" She nervously laughed before scratching her arm, "Yeah I suppose. Its just I've never really invited anyone round before." A big Natsu like grin crossed my face as my arm locked round her neck bringing her close, "Well I guess that makes me your first then!" From the corner of my eye I did see her face turn red, "Hey! Don't say it like that."

The two of us walked together through the sand, I trailed behind her slightly as I had no clue where to go. We walked and talked for about 10 minutes before she turned to a door, "This is it." I looked up at the building, surely enough it was a house. There was really nothing all that special about it.

"Hey guys I'm back!" Temari shouted as she entered the door and kicked her shoes off; I followed suit instead taking them off and placing them to the side. "You've barely been gone," Kunkuro said shooting Temari a look, he hadn't seemed to have noticed me at first, "what did you have to say to the brat anyway?" My eyes narrowed at the boy before I waved my hand, "Yeah brats right here." He looked at me and for a second you could see the look of 'of shit' in his eyes before he began to laugh,"What's she doing here then?" I puffed my cheeks out and crossed  my arms, "Jeez if you want me to go you could have just said." Temari looked at me before turning to her brother, "She's staying, be nice." Kunkuro stood up and raised his arms in the air slightly, "I'm only joking the shrimps not that bad." I raised my hand in protest, "You know shrimps a little much-" Temari cut me off, "She's not bad at all!" I mean a compliment is compliment no matter how shit, I'll take not bad.

The sky had changed from the Azul blue sky to what seemed like an endless abyss of void. The sand sky was much clearer than the leaf, with no clouds in the night sky the stars dazzled bright through most windows in the sand. Temari had fell asleep a couple minuets ago, leaving me laying on a futon on the floor. Despite my drowsiness from earlier, I couldn't sleep no matter how hard I tried.  

Clang!

A loud noise came from downstairs, it almost echoed in the sand siblings house. Unsure as to if anyone in the house was awake or aware fo the noise, I steadily stood up from my spot on the floor. Leaving Temari's room the house felt a lot colder, a small breeze drifted throughout the hallways; I could only assume this was from an open window.

Slowly I crept down the stairs, keeping my breathe clear and footsteps quiet, my mind was focused and was ready for an attack. From the kitchen I heard a small creek, deciding it was easier to announce my presence I asked a question, "Hello? Is someone there?" Turning the corner into their kitchen I requipped a small katana into my hands, pointing it in the direction of the noise. 

"What are you doing?" Every bone in my body relaxed when I realised it was no threat, the weapon in my hand disappearing as well "Sorry Gaara, I was upstairs and I heard a noise." The redhead stood staring at me intently, a half full glass of water in his hands, "How come you're in my house." I sighed, had Temari not told her brothers? "Your sister invited me over for the night." I could see his eyes narrow slightly less when he realised I had not broken in. A deafening silence enveloped the two of us as we stood in the kitchen, not entirely sure what to do. 

"Why are you awake." His voice made me jump, I hadn't expected him to start conversation, his question was more of a demand, but I suppose thats just how he is. Scratching the nape of my neck I sat in the seat a couple steps from where I had stood, "I just cant get to sleep," his eyes had followed me as I moved, "what's your reasoning then?" His head tilted slightly from my question, he was confused? "What do you mean." I couldn't help but smile slightly at him, "I mean why are you still awake?" The redhead walked towards the table and took the seat across from me, "I never sleep." My original shock of him sitting with me was quickly replaced with concern, not sleeping cannot be good for you. "Why don't you?" I asked tilting my head slightly, I didn't want to ask something he wasn't comfortable with. After our conversation on the roof the other night I had realised he's not a bad person, just misunderstood. "Shukaku." I looked up at the redhead, what does that even mean?

It's the one tail.

Oh, and how do you know this mysterious voice in my head?

Because I wasn't born yesterday

Neither was I! I'm just not from here jeez.

Exactly.

Huh, so I guess you're from this dimension then, I learn more and more everyday. I waited for a few seconds before receiving no reply. I snapped back to reality to see seagreen eyes staring at me, oh right I haven't said anything, "What does he do?" I could see him narrow his eyes again at me, probably wondering why I knew what Shukaku was, and why I was asking so many questions "He says he'll posses my body and kill people." I could see his eyes were distant as he began to think, probably about the times this happened in the past. I couldn't help but feel bad for the boy, Naruto had a tailed beast too and didn't experience anything like this. Looking back at the boy an idea crossed my mind for something that may help his situation...

Hey, ahahah, its me after so long. The chapter after this is my last planned one for the sand, then I plan to go back to the leaf, sorry all these chaps have been filler really, but yanno Gaara aint in the plot all that much, a girl gotta get some action, so sorry. Hope you enjoyed anyway, I will get back to the plot soon :}
