following the fight against the hero and the third ranked, just when accelerator was about to finish off misaka 10031 and railgun, the hero stood up once more and managed to land a knockout blow to the strongest esper, thus ending the level 6 shift...
far off in the deep reaches of the Great rift, only located in the Azerlisia mountains, there was a cave. and inside that cave, lied an ancient beast only known in myths and tales.
this enormous creature covered in scales as dark as the night, with two horns extending to the back of its head, as well as two huge wings, all covered in the same darkness as its body, would strive fear into anyone who dares cross its path.

anyone who saw this creature would instantly recognize it as one of the mythical dragons.
having been asleep for the past 300 years, this dragon that never bothered with what happened to matters that doesn't concern him finally awakened.
even when eight powerful individuals suddenly showed up 500 years ago and threatened his race with extinction, he never bothered to get involve with it as it didn't concern him.
as such, he was labeled a traitor and a coward by his fellow dragons during the great war against those eight greed kings. though he didn't really care about the other's opinions of him, as he knew quite well just how strong he himself was.
he opened his golden eyes and walked towards an object on the ground that resembled a club.
lowering his head, he sniffed the object.
"ooohh, what an intoxicating smell, hahahaha!"
though this club may look like nothing unusual to the eye, the dragon's sense of smell that could tell the value of an object was telling him how valuable the object in front of him was.
not to mention, it was also a trophy he won during a battle 300 years ago against a powerful individual who showed up in his cave.
when that individual showed up here, the battle that ensued was long and harsh. the hardest battle he had ever fought and he even felt he might have lost had it not been for how conceited his opponent was.
in any case, when he finally emerged victorious, all that was left of that guy was this club. he has decided to keep it as a trophy as well as a memento of that warrior.
"ahh, I'm really bored! time to get out and see just how much this world has changed during my slumber."
he rolled on his back and pondered on his thoughts for a little.
"i wonder if a strong person like him still exists? someone more powerful than me...perhaps it wouldn't be too bad to work under such a person..."
dragons were very proud creatures who would never even dream of working under a master, no matter how much stronger the latter was. for that reason, the other dragons would surely laugh and mock him if they heard of his thoughts.
he too used to be the same, but that thinking eventually changed in his battle against that warrior.
"right...if there's somebody out there even more powerful than me...then just maybe..."
just then, he jerked up as he caught another whiff in the air.
he knew this smell...
the smell of a human.
"it appears i must teach another fool what happens when you dare disturb the Deep Darkness Dragon lord."
then while looking at the direction of the scent, he tried to figure out who would be foolish enough to enter his domain...
'who goes there? state your purpose human!"
out of the shadows walked out a person.
at first glance, his most noticeable feature was his snow-white hair, he also had pale white skin and red eyes that looked like they could pierce your soul.
not to mention his build...
saying he was skinny was an understatement, he looked like he had some sort of allergic reaction to food.
but even so...
the dragon lord still gulped.
because even though he didn't look like he could throw a punch, the sadistic grin he wore that looked like it might split his face in half was still enough to make the dragon put his guard up.
"well well, seems I've stumbled upon something nice here, huh?"
spoke the intruder...

can anyone make up a name for the deep darkness dragon lord? since it still hasnt been revealed in the LN, he doesnt have one right now but im not good at making up names.
i mean...i guess i could search up ancient names that sound like they could be good for a dragon, though my ears are still open for your suggestions.
lastly, since i have nothing to do right now, im gonna start working on the next part.
