the tension inside that throne room could be cut by a knife. invisible sparks could be felt flying and colliding between the two individuals who silently glared at each other.
those red eyes that could inflict fear in even the most brave of men, and those yellow eyes that did naught to hide how insignificant they considered the humans in that room. while sweating profusely and knees wobbling slightly, the guards in that room have never felt more useless. in the face of those two, what could they do? why were they even there? if anything, isnt their presence just a burden? if a battle was to suddenly break out among those two monsters, then among the guards, it would just be a fight over who can run out of the room first.
the two individual continued to stare down at the other, but looked at the other as if they were nothing more than an insect, as if they could easily crush the other's existence without even batting an eye.
eventually, albedo backed down and just put on a smile that didnt reach her eyes.

this was something that surprised even the vampire undead standing a few feet from her. she knew just how short-tempered her companion was and so she was watching the exchange between them in silent amusement, awaiting for the slaughter that was sure to break out until just a few moments ago.
and it was true.
right now, albedo wanted nothing more than to rip apart the lowly creature sullying her eyes for his rude comment, but she understood she couldnt that, not yet anyway.
she had to consider her position, she was currently in a foreign country representing ainz-sama and all of the sorcerous kingdom. and besides, it was ainz-sama himself who suggested that we first try to convince him to vassalage and only if that doesnt work that they would declare war for his intrusion and take all his kingdom had to offer by force. but they certainly hadn't seen this coming...who would have thought that they would be the one getting war declared on them?!
