Battle of Overlords

part 1 - slane theocracy

                    "well well, seems I've stumbled upon something nice here, huh?"

                               ~few days earlier~

                           near the lower parts of the azalesia mountains

"around 15 more hours till we arrive!" the man yelled from outside the carriage.

they were using a magic item on the horses, one which allows them to go for a long period of time without sleep or fatigue.

the group of three have been travelling for over 2 days now and should be arriving at slane theocracy somewhere by the afternoon.

accelerator didn't really care though. he mostly has been passing the time by sleeping and the only thing annoying him was that he had to endure no coffee for over 2 days.

"if they don't have any coffee there, i swear I'm going to flip them and that whole place upside down!" he angrily thought.

accelerator got up in a seating position and looked outside the carriage.

it was night right now, probably around midnight. he sat up and turned to the only companion with him inside the carriage. having been bored for the past days, he decided to open a conversation with her and maybe try to better understand this situation he's in.

"oi, you said you heard about me from that astrologer chick, right?" he asked.

"huh?"

"O-Oh yes!" the girl answered, flustered because she wasn't expecting him to suddenly start talking after being quiet for two days.

"from what i know, she talked about you in her report, which led to the six cardinals seeking an audience with you." she continued. 

"...report? so she really was surveilling that war..."

"... also the hell is a cardinal?" he angrily thought as more questions than answers kept pilling up. 

"what's a cardinal? and what's the "black scripture" exactly? some type of mercenary group?" asked the albino.

"well yes, but actually no." she answered.

"you see, the slane theocracy military force is divided into six secs that represent the six great gods we worship. the sunlight scripture, the windflower scripture, the clearwater scripture, the holocaust scripture, and of course, the black scripture. there is also another scripture but its a secret one, not even known to the public. as of right now, there are only 4 running scriptures since the sunlight one was annihilated. the black scripture is the current strongest of the scriptures." she says, continuing her explanation.

"also, the cardinal of earth, Raymond Zarg lauransan, is the current overall commander of all six scriptures, as well as the one who ordered us to bring you to him for negotiations." she says, concluding her explanation.

"ah, souka." he answered nonchalantly.

"by the way...is it true?" she suddenly asked

"huh?"

"um, i heard that you easily defeated lady Astrologer's devil imp..." she says, her voice getting lower.

imp?

"oh, you mean that weak pet of hers she keeps in her purse? ya what about it?" he answered, still looking as bored as ever.

the  girl was just looking at him shocked.

weak?

did he just call that thing weak? 

" it is definitely not not weak! that's a devil imp you know?! i can understand if it was just a regular imp, but that was a devil imp! their speed and intellect while battle is no joke, not to mention their physical strength and that poisonous tail of theirs!"
