following the fight against the hero and the third ranked, just when accelerator was about to finish off misaka 10031 and railgun, the hero stood up once more and managed to land a knockout blow to the strongest esper, thus ending the level 6 shift...
right now, there was a nice banquet currently happening in the science kingdom.
even the slane theocracy people were partaking in it. they were celebrating for successfully resigning themselves from participation in the coming war.
there were food, drinks, music and just about all things which makes a banquet.
naturally, this part was already playing out like the first party.
zesshi was trying to seduce accelerator, the cardinals were acting as wingmen, zohak got thrown outside for making a mess, the scripture members were laughing and talking amongst themselves, and the remainders were either dancing or standing in a corner looking shy.
overall, with the exception of the food, drinks, people, music, noise, and just the situation in general...accelerator had to admit, he was enjoying himself.
the party kept on going until eventually....
"hey, whats going on outside?"
one of the guest in the ballroom said while looking outside.
this caught the attention of everyone who suddenly felt uneasy and walked towards the window to look outside. accelerator too was no exception...
everyone widened their eyes upon looking outside.
there was absolute chaos!
outside was a complete warzone! meteorites, lightening and fire based attacks mercilessly rained down on the science kingdom, destroying and killing everything unfortunate enough to fall on its line of impact.

a few of the attacks hit the building they were inside in, forcing everyone to move outside to escape the falling rubble.
once outside, the first to recover were the scripture members. six people from various scriptures formed a defensive circle around the trembling cardinals while the rest were trying to locate who was attacking.
"damn it! where is it coming from?!" someone yelled.
"W-WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!" someone else yelled.
the attack continuously rained down, and by now even some scripture members had fallen victim to it.
the windflower scripture and clearwater scripture were the firsts to go as they lacked battle experience. they were either crushed by the falling meteorites, burnt by the raining fire, or incinerated by the intense lightening.
the other scripture members who had some level of experience in fighting were doing their best to hold out, but it was quite obvious even that wouldnt last long.
at this point, the death toll had already reached several hundreds. citizens of the science kingdom lied dead all over the residence. from dwarves to dragons, wyverns and even various people from the slane theocracy who lived there were all dead.
