Wanda's not so secret crush

Credit goes to @tmntst. He gave me the idea of Wanda having a secret crush on Peter. While everyone knows about it, he doesn't. Hope you enjoy.

Wanda watched as Peter worked away in the lab at the Avengers facility. It had been over a year since they first met. It all started when Tony brought him over to join the Avengers after the battle of Sokovia. For a few months, the team treated her with some hostility, except for one person. Peter Parker.

Whenever Peter came around, they would always be with her. He'd even argue with the team if they voiced anything negative about her. Which alone, made her smile. Sometimes she'd forget he was sixteen and she was nineteen.

She was surprised one night, when he had arrived outside her bedroom window all bloodied and had deep gashes. While she was cleaning him up, he told her about the Green Gobin and that it was his old friends dad, Norman Osborn. It was then, she felt a fluttering sensation in the pit of her stomach and it would be there when he arrived at the facility. At first she didn't know what it was as she never had this sensation before and after a talk with Natasha, she realised she had a crush on her best friend.

She watched as Peter gently tapped his web shooter and it sparked, catching his finger. "Ahh, motherfu." Peter mumbled. He pressed his web shooter and the web fluid covered his face. "Yahh!" Peter said, causing Wanda to laugh as he pulled the webbing off.

"Hey Wanda. You okay?" He asked spotting her, causing her I blush.

"Uhh, yeah...I brought you some...pizza...you've been in here for a few hours." She said as she walked in and placed his food on the table.

"Thanks Wands." He said as he dug into his food. Wanda sat across the table and got lost in her mind as she looked at Peter. Everything about him, she thought was cute. His messy hair, his eyes that shined when he was happy, and darkened when he was angry. She loved how when he was thinking, either about homework or helping the others he'd chew on his thumb.

"...Wanda? Wanda? You okay?" Peter asked, making her jump and if it was possible, blush harder.

"Uhh...yeah. Just feeling...a little...warm." She lied. Peter put his hand on her head and the fluttering sensation fluttered faster and her heard pounded faster.

"You've got a temperature. Maybe you've got a fever, come on. I'll take you to bed and make you a glass of hot chocolate. That sound good?" He said. Wanda nodded and walked to her room as Peter walked into the kitchen and started to make Wanda's drink.

Natasha Romanoff was busy looking at reports of The Winter Soldier. In the hopes she could get her boyfriends old friend back. She knew that Steve missed Bucky. She looked up and was surprised seeing Peter out of the lab. Sometimes she wondered if he was somehow related to Tony. It freaked her out how similar they acted.

"Hey mini spider. This is new, having a late night drink?" She asked him. Peter laughed and shook his head.

"No, Wanda's got a bit of a fever so I'm making her a drink. It's practically done. I hate to be a bother, but can you take it to her. I've been in the lab for that long, my bladder feels like it's going to explode?" He asked her.

"No worries. I'll take it to her now." Natasha said. "See you in a minute."

"Thanks Nat." Peter said. Natasha couldn't help but laugh at the way Peter dashed to the toilet. She picked up Wanda's drink and walked to the young girls room. She opened it and saw that Wanda was in some old pyjamas, that completely by coincidence, had tiny Spider-Man logos on them.

"Fever? Really?" Natasha teased. Wanda instantly blushed.

"It was the first thing that came to mind." Wanda said. "The amount of times I've made it obvious and he hasn't got a hint."

Natasha felt bad for the young girl. It was everytime Peter came to the facility Wanda's eyes would brighten the moment she saw him. Even on a few missions where he had gotten hurt, Wanda would be by his side, sometimes skipping meals, which Natasha and Pepper(when she was here twice a month) would tell her to eat.

"Just remember, he's a sixteen year old boy. They are clueless." Natasha explained. "Everyone knows about it, even Pietro knows and you know how protective he is about you and he's fine if you two ended up dating."

The fact that Pietro was okay with the idea of her and Peter being together made her smile. Peter knocked on the door and going along with Wanda's story, she kissed Wanda on her head, much like an older sibling would do.

"You get better." She told Wanda. She then turned to Peter. "You make sure she rested. Or you might find me kicking your ass." She added, laughing at the nervous expression on Peter's face. "I'm joking. Or am I."

As Natasha walked away, Peter turned to Wanda. "What did I miss?" He asked. Wanda couldn't help but laugh.

"Just Nat being an older sister." Wanda said. "Can we watch that Herbie film. The one where they go to Paris?" She asked. Peter had introduced her to the Herbie films when he came over after school and she wondered what the films were about.

"That one's your favourite." Peter teased.

"Yeah, it's so sweet that the little guy falls in love." Wanda said, blushing.

"I can see why." Peter replied. He put the DVD in and sat by her on the bed. Wanda placed her head on his chest as the film started.

"Destination Misoir?"

"Monte Carlo"

The rest of the team were in the living room. Natasha looked at the clock and saw it had been an hour since she spoke to Wanda. She wondered how her and Peter were.

"You okay Nat?" Steve asked as he put his arms around her.

"Yeah, just wondering if Peter will ever realises that Wanda fancies him." She explained.

"I'm sure he will. Might take him sometime. But be will. You can't be as comfortable as he is with Wanda if he doesn't like her a lot." Steve said.

"I'm going to see them. See if they are okay." She said lightly kissing his lips as she walked away.

"Peter still being oblivious?" Sam asked.

"Yep." Steve replied.

"Daft kid." Sam added. The rest of the team couldn't help but agree.

Natasha quietly opened Wanda's door and poked her head in. The sight she saw, made her smile like madly.

Wanda and Peter were fast asleep. Wanda's head was on his chest, Peter's head was drooping into her hair as they both quietly snored.

"They look good together." Natasha turned around and saw a smiling Pietro.

"Yeah they do. Let's leave them to sleep." Natasha replied. She quietly closed the door and the two walked away, leaving the two teens sleeping peacefully. Hopefully one day, Peter would realise his feelings for Wanda.
