Part 8: The frost

"What's wrong? your cute face suddenly turned pale"

From the door of the loot house in which Emilia came through appeared a mysterious woman

The woman had a sexy figure which gave of an alluring presence, her hair was tied into one tail on the left side along with her drooping black eyes which are locked at Subaru.

She's wearing a black cloak and in one of her hands is a strange-shaped blade and blood was dripping from it which sent Subaru on guard.

"W-Who the hell are you?!"

The woman showed a creepy smirk at Subaru and licked her lips, the smile she had was comparable to a predator toying with its prey which frightened Subaru even further

"Oh excuse me, where are my manners?"

The woman took a bow at Subaru and said

"My name is Elsa...Elsa Granhiert"

Elsa then walked closer to Subaru with the bloodied blade in her hand which caused Subaru to take a step back, he had no means of defending against someone who's armed so he opted to talk Elsa down until someone he could ask for help passes by

He already had a hunch on the answer but continued to ask Elsa nonetheless

"What's with that knife in your hand? what did you do to Emilia!"

"Oh, were you acquainted with that person? I'm sorry to tell you little boy but I've already killed her"

"......."

"No reaction? that's cold of you. That little girl was pretty stupid you see, she entered the loot house with her guard down like a little child, after seeing something like that there was no way I could hold myself back!"

"You....."

"I quickly chopped her up and sliced her guts out! that girl was truly blessed, out of all the guts I've seen in my life hers was the most beautiful so far, it was so bright and red....."

Subaru thought that this girl could somehow be reasoned with but from the looks of it, this girl is Insane

"And in her dying breath, she mentioned someone....who was it again?...hmm.... ah yes, I think the name was Subaru.....is that person you perhaps?"

Subaru felt chills all over his body, he looked at his surroundings if someone was there but to his luck, there were none

"Looking around you instead of the beautiful woman in front of you? that's cold...Subaru..."

Her voice was gentle and was extremely seductive but in a situation like this it only instilled fear in Subaru even further

"......You're insane"

"Oh, and you aren't? I just told you right now how a killed person you're acquainted and yet you show no reaction...was I wrong to assume that you were involved with her?"

Subaru did feel something for Emilia however he was not grieving because someone close to him has died, he was sad because someone that he could use was now gone. The entire time that he spent acting like the nice fool in front of her was now all a waste.

"Hmmm...something about you certainly feels different...that look in your eyes....and that presence...almost like mother's....no ....it's worse...."

Elsa then licked the blood from her blade and pointed it in the direction of Subaru

"I've decided...Since I'm going to kill you any way I might as well enjoy and savor the moment...I still have time after all"

Subaru then felt hostility from Elsa, He quickly jumped and grabbed a sharp stick from the nearby tree, though it isn't much compared to Elsa's weapon, it's still better than nothing
