Part 15: The Platinum in the Moonlight (1)

The darkness of the night and the bright  light of the moonlight has descended upon the kingdom of Lugnica. Normally at this hour, all of the citizens were encouraged to go back to their own  homes and rest, but at the main plaza of the dark marketplace stood four figures

The pearless silver-haired beauty, Emilia. The humble and all-powerful, Reinhard. A clocked child that was tied by a rope, Meili. And the Foolish sage who orchestrated the stage in the first place, Subaru

All of them were waiting In anticipation, Subaru In particular was tapping his feet for a while now. While Emilia was looking at their surroundings, as was Reinhard

"Hey... Are you sure that she'll come?" Emilia asked with a tense expression as she looks back at the child, who stuck out her tongue back at her

"Hah, There's absolutely no way! Me and Elsa are professionals you know?! Do you think we'll risk ourselves for some dead weight? You're only wasting your breath here mister, there's no way she'll be here" 

"Oh, I wouldn't count on that" Subaru said with a smile "She loves you dearly after all, and she already gave me her word"

"Hah? What are you saying? Is your head filled with air, mister? I already told you tha-"

"They're here" Reinhard said in a matter of fact tone as he grabbed the ice sword that was crafted in advance through Emilia's magic

"Sorry for the wait" A bell-like voice came from the darkness, and a cloaked figure along with a familiar blonde little girl and a giant man came into view 

"Wha- " Meili's eyes widened "What are you doing here-" And before she could continue talking, Elsa signaled with her fingers that she be quiet

"Oi, Oi,  lady, I thought that something seemed off when we changed the negotiation spot...Why is there a knight here?!"

Subaru recognized the little girl as felt, who immediately created some distance between them with her knife at the ready

The giant, Old man Rom also prepared his club

"Now, Now" Subaru Interjected "Just calm down and listen for now, yeah?"

"Hah?! Who are you?"

"Oops, my bad. My name Is Natsuki Subaru, the man that was chosen by this world! And these two are my companions for today's negotiations"

"Negotiations?"

"Yep, you see things have changed a bit. We're gonna be the new bidder of that Insignia you're holding"

Felt glanced at Elsa, who confirmed it with her gaze

"...I don't know what's going on, but if you first wanna talk about business then at least get him out of here" Felt pointed his knife in the direction of Reinhard, clearly disgusted by his presence

"Sorry I can't do that" Subaru replied Imedeitly

"Then the deal is off then" She and the giant were about to run off, but Elsa immediately stepped in and blocked their path

"Tch...I knew that it was bad to accept a request from this creep woman, you brat" 

"Shut it, I was just trying to make us some money!"

"Please, don't be so harsh at me. I also don't know how it got to this" Elsa says as she prepares her weapon at the ready

The atmosphere quickly turned tense, as all of them quickly stared at each other with their Intent to kill spreading through the air

"Please be assured" Subaru's voice cut through the tension between them "This man right now is on his day off, so he's not a knight now. Just an acquaintance that's here to assist us"
