Part 13

"All right," I whisper, "Kira and I are in position."
I click the earpiece off, hearing a response seconds later.
"Team one in position."
"Team three and four in position. On your signal, Izuku."
The raspy voices notify me, and I stand from my little perch. Making sure everyone can see, I raise my arm and then drop it harshly. I can hear rushed footsteps through the quiet night, then whisper yelling and doors slamming to the ground.
I jump from roof to roof, Kira following close behind. We reach our destination, a large, abandoned building. Sketchy, dark, and stereotypical for a villain hideout.
I crash through a window, Kira running around the corner to intercept our target from behind. Not caring about noise, I run through a doorway and skid to a stop when I feel his presence.
"Well, well. So, you heros have finally come. Let's make this quick, shall we, Izuku Midoriya?"
"Sounds like a plan." I grimace internally at his confidence, but I push away all negative thoughts.
I notice Kira creeping in the shadows behind All For One, and everyone is in place. So far, so good.
I take a deep breath before quickly yelling, "Now!" Aizawa and the crows come storming in, glass shattering all over and dust clouding the air. Seriously, a guy really should clean every now and then.
"What in the-" All For One yells, confusion and alarm clear on his face.
In seconds, Aizawa has him pinned down, capture gear wrapped around his entire body. Jake freezes All For One's body to the ground, and Kira wraps vines around him, Alex's shadows keeping the restraints secure. Wow, we really do all have capture quirks.
Non of us relax, however, but instead I cautiously move towards him to knock him unconscious.
Yeah, that was my greatest mistake.
Once I get close enough, All For One activates one of his quirks. How he does so under Aizawa's cold glare is unknown to us all.
I feel a burning sensation travel through my body, my blood boiling. I gasp and pause, eyes wide and jaw clenched to hold back a scream.
"Hey, kid! What's wrong?!"
"Zuzu!"
I fall to one knee, a ragged scream escaping my lips. Through it all, I can just barely hear All For One's hysterical laughing.
I let out another scream, no break for air. I hold out a hand to stop my friends from abandoning their posts, and squeeze my eyes shut.
Again, it feels like fire erupts from my body, seeping into my heart and my lungs.
I try to hold on as long as I can, keeping sounds of pain to a minimum. But my thoughts are chaotic, either screaming at me or abandoning my mind altogether.
Collapsing to the ground, I clutch my chest and fight hot tears forming in my emerald eyes.
All For One's echoing laughter is all I register as I fade out of conciseness.

White obscures my vision, muffled whispers breaking a deafening silence.
I don't bother sitting up, and instead turn my head to scan my whereabouts.
A plain white room, nothing but the bed I'm laying on. A man stands near a white door, holding a clipboard and talking to himself. I try to move my arms subtly, but no movements come. Looking down, I notice metal restraints tying me to the bed frame. They look quirk- canceling too, so I'm stuck for now.
Unfortunately, the man notices my conciseness.
"Well, look who's awake? Excuse me for just one moment." The man leaves, slamming the thick, metal door behind him.
Moments later, one of my worst fears come to pass.
All For One, in all his faceless glory, steps into view. "Izuku Midoriya. A pleasure."
"I'd be lying if I said the same thing." I say, staring at him cautiously.
The large man steps closer and continues speaking. "I have quite the plans for you, Izuku. You are crucial in the next step of my plan. Anyway, I'm not going to waste time with small talk. Please don't struggle, now."
All For One reaches towards me, but with the metal collar around my neck, I can't move away. Putting his hand on my face, I hear only one last sentence before everything goes blank.

"This is the end for you, Izuku Midoriya. All your pain and anger will be nothing more."
