thirty four - after

Stormi's pov

My eyes feel like concrete as I do my best to pry them opened. The weight I feel upon my chest is overbearing and the coldness I feel is like frostbite.

I instantly close my eyes as I see a bright light flash back and forth from one eye to the other.

I can hear voices but I can't understand what they are saying.

I drift off to sleep back and forth for hours.

My vision is getting better and I can finally make out a few words here and there but I cannot recognize any of the voices.

As I close my eyes for another time, I feel someone grab my hand and for some reason all the hairs on my arms stand up.

The black abyss I fall into is wonderful.

It's peaceful and calm.

Down here, I have absolutely no worries or cares.

But this time, it's different.

As I'm walking around in the sand, I see a faint imagine of a little baby boy.

He's beautiful, looks almost like Kaden.

His hair is a light brown like mine but his eyes are a sapphire blue like Kadens with his deep dimples.

He has freakles like me.

Is this my child?

"Hello?" I wave to the little baby.

As I start to walk towards it, the baby begins to grow. 

He smiles at me before he starts to run towards me.

My feet stop as I freeze as each step he takes, he gets older and older.

Growing bigger and bigger.

He grows taller as his hair begins to change to a white color.

I didn't even realize I was crying as the boy approaches me.

But it's not the same little baby from seconds ago.

He's an older man with glasses and grey hair with wrinkles in layers over his skin.

He lifts his arms and palms my cheeks sending a vibrant shock through my body.

His sapphire blue eyes are glaring into mine as he smiles.

"Don't cry." His voice whispers.

His accent is just like Kadens.

"What's your name?" I tremble as the words escape my mouth.

He chuckles as his thumbs wipe away my tears.

"I don't have a name."

"No name?" I smile at this.

What does he mean he doesn't have a name?
