Christina was pinning back her hair into a bun, she wore a black skin tight dress to go with her white blazer. She sighed as she grabbed her heels before walking out to the lounge where Pepper sat

"Are the bruises still visible?" Christina asked her

"Only a little, we won't let the press get any pictures of you" Pepper smiled

"Its fine, I just didn't know" Christina explained as she petted Roxy on the head before she left with Pepper.

A few hours later the two ended up in DC, entering through the back where Christina was greeted by Tony

"Nice to see you here" Tony smiled

"Less sarcasm, behave on this one" Christina smiled as she hugged him

"I always do behave" Tony answered as he screwed up his face a little.

"We have to go sit down" Pepper told Chris. She nodded as she followed Pepper to these seats

"Nice to see you Christina" An annoying voice said from the side

"Not so honoured Justin. Here to take notes on what a real company can do?" Christina asked with a fake smile

"Funny one" Jusin laughed as Chris walked off with an eye roll.

The court started of well but Tony kept turning and arguing with Pepper about something by the looked of it m

"Mr Stark, could we pick up now where we left off? Mr Stark. Please" the senator

"Yes dear?" Tony smiled as he turned back around slightly, the room turning to a laughter.

"Can I have your attention?" The senator asked him again

"Absolutely" Tony smiled in response

"Do you or do you not possess a specialised weapon?" The question started

"I do not" Tony answered

"You do not?" Senator Stern glared at him a little

"I do not. Well, it depends on how you define the word weapon" Tony tried to reason with him

"The Iron Man weapon" The senator answered Tony

"My device does not fit that description" Tony shrugged it off

"Well… How would you describe it?"

"I would describe it by defining it as what it is, Senator"

"As?"

"It’s a high-tech prosthesis. That is… That is… That’s actually the most apt description I can make of it"

"It’s a weapon. It’s a weapon, Mr Stark"

"Please, if your priority was actually the well-being of the American citizen-"

"-My priority is to get the Iron Man weapon turned over to the people of the United States of America" The senator interrupted Tony

"Well, you can forget it. I am Iron Man. The suit and I are one. To turn over the Iron Man suit would be to turn over myself which is tantamount to indentured servitude or prostitution, depending or what state you’re in. You can’t have it" Tony argued as then the room fell into a laughter again. Christina shook her head slightly as she reached into her purse

"Shit" she muttered ever so discreetly as she tried to look for the pills to help her head

" Look, I’m no expert-"

"-In prostitution? Of course not. You’re a senator. Come on" Tony said as he caused more laughed before he turned around and started another mouthing fight with Pepper

"I gotta go Pep" Christina said as she got up and left. She made her way to the car around the back to, opening it up with her shaking hand
"Damn it" Christina mumbled as she reached for her phone

"You okay?" A familiar voice said from behind her

"You shouldn't be here Rhodes" Christina muttered as she sat down on the seat

"You don't look so good" Rhodes stated to her

"I am fine, I just need my damn medication... one of many side effects from the accident... I'll call a friend who can drive me home" Christina told him

"Are you sure?" Rhodes asked her

"Yeah, go have fun in there... Tony is making it into a circus" Christina smiled ever so slightly

"Be good" He smiled as he walked off. Christina sighed as she grabbed her second phone as she used her first to log into the media to watch the rest of the court case

"Let the record reflect that I observed Mr Hammer entering the chamber, and I am wondering if and when any actual expert will also be in attendance" Tony's voice said from the phone, Chrissy smiled a little as someone finally answered her call

"Chris? You okay?" Nats voice asked from the other end

"I need help... please" Christina said as she slid down her seat

"Absolutely. I’m no expert. I defer to you, Anthony. You’re the wonder boy. Senator, if I may. I may well not be an expert, but you know who was the expert? Your dad. Howard Stark. Really a father to us all, and to the military-industrial age. Let’s just be clear, he was no flower child. He was a lion. We all know why we’re here. In the last six months, Anthony Stark has created a sword with untold possibilities. And yet, he insists it’s a shield. He asks us to trust him as we cower behind it. I wish I were comforted, Anthony, I really do. I’d love to leave my door unlocked when I leave the house, but this ain’t Canada. You know, we live in a world of grave threats, threats that Mr Stark will not always be able to foresee. Thank you. God bless Iron Man. God bless America" Jusin Hammer stated in the background

"What's happened?" Nat asked

"I left my pills, I need it cuz my head still isn't... I just need to go home" Christina said as she felt tears form in her eyes

"Its okay, don't worry... I'm on my way" Nat hung up.

"Damn it Chrissy" She said to herself as she felt more of the pain come over from her head

"That is well said Mr Hammer. The committee would now like to invite Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes to the chamber" Senator Stern said on the news

"That's what he was doing here" Christina said to herself as she switched it off. She gathered everything she needed before Natasha pulled up inside a black car
"I gotta hand these to Happy or someone quick so Pepper can drive home" Christina said as Nat lowered the window down

"Hurry up, I gotta head back soon as Fury has an assignment for me" Nat smiled ever so slightly

"I'll be 1 minute grump" Chris smiled as she ran towards the door where she saw Happy

"Giving these to Pepper, right?" He asked

"Yeah, I'm going back home.... see you whenever I do" Christina smiled as she ran back to Nats car
