◇6 months later. Avengers◇

Chris was in the helicopter with Maria and Fury, an emergency evacuation was engaged at a facility because of the Tesseract Fury had been trying to use for a while now. They landed, walking out and being greeted by Phil Coulson.

"How bad is it?" Fury asked him

"That's the problem Sir, we don't know" Phil answered as they all walked inside and to the elevator
"Doctor Selvig read an energy surge from the Tesseract 4 hours ago"

"NASA didn't authorise until we go to test phase"

"He wasn't testing it, he wasn't even in the room" Phil explained

"Ghosts" Chris joked a little

"Really? Right now?" Fury asked as he turned to her

"I'm lightening the mood" Chris shrugged

"So it just turned itself on?" Hill asked Coulson

"What are the energy levels on?" Fury asked after glaring at the smirking Chris

"Climbing. When Selvig couldn't shut it down we ordered evac" Coulson answered as Chris saw a Agent trip up so she helped before she caught up

"Do better" Fury told Coulson, who left them as they walked downstairs towards the testing area

"Why don't you try get Captain Rogers input? He might know a lot more about the Tesseract than we do" Chris suggested

"I'll consider it later" Fury said

"Sir, evacuation may be futile" Hill stated

"We should tell everyone to go back to sleep" Fury said sarcastically

"If we can't control the Tesseract, there may not be a safe minimal distance" Hill argued

"She has a point" Chris agreed

"I need you two to make sure the phase 2 prototypes are shipped out" Fury ignored them

"Sir, is that really a priority right now?" Hill protested

"Until such time as the world ends we will act as if it intends to spin on. Clear out the tech below!" Fury said walking off a little
"Every piece of phase 2 on a truck and gone" Fury instructed

"Yes sir" Hill and Chris said in unison as they walked pass Fury

"With us" Hill told the two armed agents and they followed her and Chris out to the phase 2 section

"Why was phase 2 planned when one 1 wasn't even properly stable?" Chris asked Hill

"I don't know" Hill shrugged as they started loading it all onto the truck before they heard gunfire from the lab area 

"Should we go help?" An agent asked Chris

"No, keep this going" Chris instructed

A few silent moments passed before Barton walked in with a few agents and a mysterious male with a glowing scepter

"We need these vehicles" Barton said as they got into it

"Who's that?" Hill asked while Chris stared at him intensely, getting a small smirk

"Didn't tell me" Clint answered as he got ready to go in the car while Hill and Chris walked away slightly as the radio went off

"Hill, Carbonell, do you copy!" Fury asked, sounding in pain
"Barton's been turned!" He said, the two looked back to see Clint then shooting at them. They ducked aside and dodged the bullets

"Oh great" Chris grumbled seeing her friend turned. Chris didn't have her gun on her but she had the cylinder and pulled the pin to reveal the full size staph while Maria shot at the escaping car

"Let's go!" Hill yelled as the jumped into a van and drove after the cars

"Take the cut" Chris nodded at Hill so they ended up infront of Barton. Hill turned the car around to face them
"I can't get any clear method" Chris grumbled as she looked around for a gun while Barton managed to shake them off. As they drove after them, the building started to collapse behind them

"Watch your head" Hill said as the sparks came down closer on them

"Shit, we won't make it" Chris warned as then a huge chunk came down on their car. 
"You okay?" Chris asked as she helped Hill out the car

"Okay might be an overstatement at this point" Hill said as Chris cleared the blood off her own lip.

"Hill, Carbonell?" Fury spoke over the radio

"A lot of men still under, don't know how many survivors" Hill answered while Chris tried to move aside some rocks only to hear

"As of right now, we are at war" Fury stated.

After a while Chris and Hill got out and they were greeted by Fury

"I am off to Germany, there is a gala but the people there are scientists... I can assess and bring people in" Chris told Fury, who nodded. Chris got into the spare car and drove to the airport. She got inside her jet and was flown to Germany.

2 days later

Chris walked upto the event, her dress was emerald green with black ombre tips. Her black hair was tied up into a tight bun. She had a secret comm in her ear and a small handheld bag where she had a phone and her staph in the cylinder form.

"Miss Stark! What a surprise to see you here" someone greeted her as she took a drink

"Nice to meet you, it was a last minute invite" Christina smiled. She spoke to some people for a moment before the comm made a tick noise

"Christina, do you copy?" Furys voice said over the comm line

"Yep, what's wrong?" Chris asked as she walked around the huge hall

"I need you to try stand by until you can't... we have a situation with that Loki you met a few days ago" Fury informed her

"I'm on it... you do realise that I am here for this exact reason anyway? This gala is full of rich people and scientists" Chris shook her head slightly as she grabbed another drink from the bar

"Just be careful, I can't lose you either" Fury said before the line went quiet again. She took her time but walked upto the open balcony upstairs where she could watch over the people carefully

"Hello there, let me guess... Christina Stark, or should I say Agent Carbonell" A voice said from behind her

"Looks like Barton isn't having a hard time to talk to people then, huh" Christina stated as she slowly moved into her bag to grab her cylinder

"No need for that, I can sense something in you that is very different to normal humans... so stay out of my way otherwise you and Barton alongside many others close to you will die" Loki warned

"Where is the fun in that?" Christina asked as she turned to face him with a smirk

"What?" He asked, confusedly

"Why would you kill all of them, kill me? After all... you did just say you know I am different" Christina smiled ever so slightly

"Because I like to do what I am best at" Loki smirked as he got closer to her

"I don't know how you can sense anything different with me, just a normal old human... well, sorta anyway" Christina laughed slightly as she took a sip of her drink

"Its dormant but still there, Shadow" He smirked, raising his staph towards her but the way it glowed enchanted her in some way. Chris felt her heart pace change for a few seconds as she gathered herself together again as Loki left her up there.
