Chapter 14

you get up after seeing the sun is starting to come up you make your way to your hut hoping teresa is asleep just your luck she's awake

"enjoy sleeping with your boyfriend why you still can"

"ohh go away i don't have time for you and your stupid comments"

"but you know i'm right that's why you didn't eat yesterday at dinner" 

you give teresa a look as she walks out the hut you get changed you decide not to go to breakfast so you head to the medjack hut soon after clint walks in holding a plate 

"hey i sent jeff to watch over alby and Gally and newt made me bring you food"

"ohh put it on the side am not hungry"

"eliza i know you must be hungry come on"

"i said am not hungry"

"you know what happens if you don't eat"

"yes i know clint am just not hungry"

"alright am going to find your brother update him about alby its hard to tell but we think he will pull through the changing "

you sit in the corner staring at the plate of food you so desperately wanted to eat but you wouldn't let teresa win and you certainly wouldn't let her have gally you see chuck come into the hut you hate the creators for sending chuck up he was just a innocent kid 

"whats wrong with you"

chuck lifts up his hand showing a cut 

"lets get that patched up for you so what did you do"

"i was carving this" he holds up a little figure "and slipped and cut my hand"

"you carved that its really good"

you walk to a shelf grabbing some carbolic acid and a plaster 

"its for my parents"

"wait do you remember them"

"no but i know i must have them and wherever they are im sure they miss me"

you never thought about if you had parents i wonder if newt had ever thought about them if he had any ideas what they where like 

"well chuck am sure they do and when we get out of here someday you will see them"

you finish of cleaning the cut with carbolic acid before placing a plaster on the cut "and all done"

"thank you elizabeth"

chuck hugs you and you awkwardly hug him back before he runs out the door soon after gally comes in 

"how come you didn't eat breakfast"

"ohh i didn't feel like it"

"lizz don't do this to yourself"

"am fine as ive said to everybody am not hungry"

"this isn't about the new girl is it"

"no its not i promise i'm  just not hungry i don't feel well" 

you start to tear up

 "lizz whats wrong its breaking me to see you like this am not the only one worried either we all are "

"i just need a hug"

"come on then"

 gally opens his arms and you walk towards him being pulled into his loving embrace 

"lizz dont do this to yourself its not worth it" 

gally realised you from the hug and walked out the doors of the hut

a few days past you still refused to eat you started to feel weak but you could see you where dropping weight it was working everybody had tried everything to get you to eat minho brought you smoothies which you thought was a incredibly sweet gesture newt went into crazy protective mode frypan even cooked you something special it broke your heart to turn him down. clint and jeff kept telling you what would happen if you didn't  eat soon 

you look out of the medjack hut over to the maze doors to find a crowd of about 20 people curiosity getting the better of you get up to investigate you walk up to the doors and stand by gally

"what's wrong"

"minho and thomas aren't back"

"again this is getting blummin ridiculous" 

and of course with that the two run out of the maze guess them two shanks got perfect shucken timing for dramatic effect you look over to newt who clearly looks pissed 

"now what the hell's going on out there"

his voice is all squeaky and mad you almost laugh but stop yourself 

"what the hell you done now thomas" gally practically shouts your sure he blummin burst your eardrum 

"we found something a new passage"

minho starts walking towards the homestead and everybody starts following like sheep following a shepherd 

"we think it could be a way out" you look  around everybody has shocked faces 

"we opened a door, something i had never seen before i think it must be where the grievers go during the day"

chuck buts in cutting minho of "are you saying you found the grievers home and you want us to go in"

you did have to admit the idea sounded ludacris "their way in could be our way out chuck" 

"or the could be a dozen grievers on the other side the truth is thomas doesn't know what he's done as usual "

"yeah well at least i did something gally what have you done huh aside hide behind these walls for 3 years"

"let me tell you greenie you been here a week ive been here 3 years"

"yeah you've been here three years and guess what your still here"

"alright cut it of the both of you where is arguing going to get us maybe thats what they want us to do argue so they can see how we react more than ever we need to stick together be there for one and other not argue"

"we cant do anything without the code anyway" minho mutters

something clicks in your brain your dreams it all made sense

"float catch bleed death stiff push" you muttered

"what was that" thomas asked you

" is the code 6 letters by any chance"

"yes why how do you know that" minho butted in

"i think i know the code so since ive got here i've had nightmares now the is always this voice mutters a word over and over i haven't figured out what it all meant till now surely the is a reason i was sent up right maybe thats why"

"whats the code elizabeth"

"float, catch" 

you feel dizzy the world starting to spin 

"liz whats up"

"bleed death, stiff"

suddenly your body loses the power to support itself your crutchers fly from underneath you and your body drops to the floor gally catches you before you hit the floor 

"push"

was all you managed to get out your mind went black fear consumed you could see everybody rushing towards you jeff clint newt  your eyes rolled back and the world went black

(hey guys i hope anybody reading this is enjoying the box i have tried to make it different to any other maze runner books since most of them are the same please vote for the book it means the world to me and please let me know of any ideas you guys have
