frypan pulls out of the garage the lights of the truck illuminating the road it was morning and thomas turned on the radio which was playing some really old tacky tune though you did have to admit it had a good beat to it when you notice a sign it read 'mandatory infection check 2 miles ahead all vehicles must stop non-compliance will result in lethal action" the sigh looked old you wondered if it was still in operation on the large sigh was also two biohazard symbols
you came up to the infection check center it was long shut down cars left to erode and old signs displaying the symptoms of the flare a strange growling noise coming from the tunnel ahead surely that was not a good sight any day a part of you wished you were preparing to go to the safe haven but you remembered why you where doing this for minho and for liv frypan stops the truck and you all jump out
"you want us to go in there" newt says scoffing
"no he wants us to fly over to what do you shucken think" you say
"i didn't ask you opinion" newt says
"well you got it"
"will you two stop bickering" clint says rubbing his eyes
"no" you two both shout at the same time towards clint

"umm no you dont" you say running to the car
after much arguing and a round of rock paper scissors newt ended up riding shotgun much to your disappointment you where in the back with clint and thomas frypan drives through the tunnel at a slow speed with all the hazard light on basically saying hey cranks look at us come get us

"just take it nice and slow" newt says putting his torch out the window
"woah woah woah" frypan says coming to an abrupt stop you see a figure not far from the car a crank you thought to yourself the was a loud gagging noise yep defo 1000 and 10% a crank
"its okay its just one" thomas says
"its never just one though is it" you say
"take it slow go around him we'll be fine" thomas says ignoring your comment you have noticed people only ever take note to what they want to hear
"take it slow" fry repeats to himself a few times planting both hands on the wheel as newt winds up the widow you notice a women next to you and you shriek basically jumping onto thomas who has a similar reaction
"please" the women says trembling against the glass you wanted to let her in but she was already half turned she was old and her hair was a blonde grey colour "help me please" the thuds against the window "just let me in" she shouts
suddenly the was another man dark veins run down his neck and head slammed against the car window "please open the door" he pleds
"fry hit the pedal" you shout as more cranks gather around the van shouting things "why won't you open it"
"fry you need to go right now" thomas shouts
you cover your ears to cut out the desperate cries of the people but it was no good you could still hear every breath every pled
