Bosacius - Chapter 33

Kaeya and Diluc are in Liyue. They teleported  there with the waypoint system. They make their way to the funeral parlour and find Zhongli in his office

Zhongli: sir Diluc and Kaeya. What do I owe the pleasure?
Diluc: what do you know about contacting y/n?
Zhongli: I'm sorry?
Kaeya: we have spoken to Xiao. We wanted to know if he had heard anything from y/n. But apparently he hasn't. We just wanted to know if there was a way we could see if she is ok?
Zhongli: I'm sorry, but Xiao is the only person alive that can communicate with her. If he can't get anything from her, then no one can
Diluc: there's got to be something you can do
Zhongli: I'm afraid not
Diluc: so this has been a waste of time?!
Kaeya: we will think of something...
Zhongli: I really am sorry Sir... I know she means a lot to you... but at least you know she is safe from Fumiko now
Diluc: ...yeah

Diluc leaves the room

Kaeya: umm thanks anyways

Kaeya leaves. Switches to Fumiko at the Sekai base. There are some of the members heading her way at her desk. She is reading through some papers

Fumiko: did you find anything?!
Man: we have yes
Fumiko: and?
Man: we looked into the Yaksha... and their members
Fumiko: what did you find?
Man: we believe that your theory could be correct
Fumiko: *chuckles* that's good... And I think I know the perfect way to test my theory out. Get our prisoner ready! We are all heading out on a little trip *chuckles*

When Kaeya and Diluc leave the parlour, Zhongli chases after them

Zhongli: wait! I want to help
Kaeya: you do? why?
Zhongli: she's my friend... I care about her too... ever since she left I've been wanting to know if it was the right choice... when she went through that portal... Xiao could hear her screaming and crying... I just want to know she found that happiness...
Diluc: then come on... we are heading to Mondstadt. We are going to check the Favonius headquarters library for something that can help us
Zhongli: lead the way

They all leave Liyue and teleport to Mondstadt. Once they arrive at the library they look through different books that could help them out.

Kaeya: I'm not finding a single thing
Diluc: just keep looking. There's gotta be something about different worlds or contacting y/n
Zhongli: why are you so sure? I've known this world more then anyone, and I don't think you are going to find answers within any of these pages
Diluc: you were able to give Xiao and the rest of the Yakshas the abilities. Why can't you do that again?
Zhongli: because I was morax then. I gave up most of my abilities to be human, to walk amongst the people in this world
Diluc: so I should just give up?!
Zhongli: no, I never said that... I just think that this is going to be a lot harder then we think it's going to be
Diluc: well I'm willing to work hard... anything to make sure she is ok

Zhongli and kaeya go round the corner to talk

Kaeya: you don't think this is possible do you?
Zhongli: *sighs* I don't know... I hope it is, but the chances of finding a way through this is next to non
Kaeya: then why are you here helping?
Zhongli: ...because I want to give him hope...
Kaeya: he isn't going to stop searching...
Zhongli: then I won't either

They go back around to Diluc. He is looking at the bookshelves. Diluc notices a certain book on the shelf. It is the Lost Desert Flower. He picks the book off the shelf. He then finds Lisa at the front desk in the Library

Lisa: Diluc? Well I can't say I expected to see you here?
Diluc: how much for this book?
Lisa: do I need to explain how libraries work?
Diluc: I'm well aware... but I would like to keep a copy for myself
Lisa: why? What's so special about this book? It doesn't hold much value?
Diluc: I have my reasons... please...
Lisa: you know what? Keep it, it's yours.
Diluc: you sure?
Lisa: yeah... I might not see any value in it. But you clearly do... it is better in your hands then mine
Diluc: ...thank you

Diluc takes the book and leaves the desk. The boys then leave the gates of Mondstadt and are about to head back to the winery. Before they can leave they see an electric arrow land right in front of them. The guards at the gate draw their swords. They all then see the Sekai clan making their way over. Zhongli, Diluc and Kaeya then all grab out their weapons and prepare for a fight. They then start to see Fumiko making her way forward, she has Xiao in her hands.

Zhongli: Xi-Xiao?!
Diluc: Fumiko?! What are you doing?!
Fumiko: thought we could all catch up. Wouldn't you like that?

She throws Xiao on his knees

Diluc: I'd rather just make you suffer from all that you did to y/n!
Fumiko: what if I told you that you could see her one more time?
Diluc: what do you mean?
Fumiko: I heard your little conversation with the yaksha earlier... it got me thinking
Kaeya: y-you were there?!
Fumiko: indeed... I came up with a theory. And I need you Lucy, to find out if I was right or not
Diluc: and what theory would that be?
Fumiko: well... let me start with a little story that you might be familiar with... back when the Yakshas were around, there was 5 different members, including Xiao here of course. All the other Yakshas died... except 1... that Yaksha was Bosacius... who mysteriously disappeared into the darkness. A thousand year old mystery. Another fact about Bosacius is that his elemental was Electro... who else was blessed with that vision?
Diluc: y-y/n...
Fumiko: oh right! She does possess that vision!
Zhongli: what are you saying?! That she is Bosacius? But that's impossible
Fumiko: no, I don't think she is Bosacius. You are right that would be impossible. She would have died ages ago... but what about a descendant?

Everyone looks towards Fumiko with a shocked expression

Diluc: y-you're saying that?!-
Fumiko: I believe that y/n is not only from earth. But also from this world too... she is half and half
Zhongli: that's why Xiao was able to hear her?! Because they are both connected!
Fumiko: exactly
Diluc: what are you wanting Fumiko?!
Fumiko: I want her. And you are going to bring her to me
Diluc: never
Fumiko: I didn't ask

Members of the Sekai clan grab the guards, Zhongli, Diluc and kaeya. They couldn't escape their grasp. She then looks to Xiao. She instructs some of the members to bring Zhongli a little closer. They push him to his knees

Fumiko: now open the portal... or I kill him

She points to Zhongli

Xiao: ...n-no
Fumiko: did I stutter?! Open the portal!
Xiao: no!
Fumiko: fine

The clan members are about to use their swords on Zhongli.

Xiao: wait!

Xiao looks down for a moment. He then raises his arm and has the shadowed portal reopen.

Diluc: what exactly do you think is going to happen now?! She won't come back through!
Fumiko: oh I know... but you will

The Sekai clan push him towards the portal

Diluc: ughh get off me!
Kaeya: no! Let him go!

The Sekai clan give him a final push and Diluc goes through the portal. And it closes behind him. Kaeya stares at where the portal disappeared. His expression turns to lost and shocked... his pain clearly shows throughout him
