The Battle Dome - Chapter 54

It is the next day, morning has risen and y/n rushes off the hay bed and over to a bucket and throws up

Diluc: a-are you ok?!
Y/n: ... yeah... just seasickness...
Diluc: and it's only just hit you?
Y/n: yeah...
Diluc: y/n I-
Y/n: please just don't... not right now...
Diluc: but I-
Y/n: Diluc I have my head in a bucket. Whatever you have to say, I don't want to hear it right now
Diluc: ...fine

Y/n throws up again. Diluc wished he could go over and comfort her. After a little while, some Fatui come into the brig and take y/n and Diluc off the ship. They had finally arrived in Snezhnaya. As the Fatui escort them away, they start to split Diluc and y/n away from each other

Diluc: w-where are you taking her?! Y/N!!! Y/N!!!

Y/n is tearing up but she didn't want Diluc to see her like that so she keeps her head forward instead of looking back. After a little while, y/n arrives to a small room. There was nothing in there. Just a small boxed in room. The guards close the big door. Locking her inside. Y/n looks around to see if there was anyway out. But she was stuck inside. After a few minutes, the wall opposite the door raises up into what looked like a large dome. At the opposite side was another room that had not been opened yet. Y/n walks forward then looks up. She was in what seemed to be a battling area. And up above was a viewing area with a throne to watch over her. She was stuck in this large hole. With no way out. As she looked up at the throne, there was a hooded figure next to it. And a woman sat on the chair. She couldn't see any of their faces, just a shadowed silhouette. Then joining beside them she could see Signora making her way towards them, evilly staring at y/n.

Y/n: what am I doing here?!

The woman in the throne raises her arm. The steel wall to the other room is raised. And there in front of her stood Childe. Y/n stands back in shock

Y/n: ch-Childe?!
Childe: ...I'm sorry y/n
Y/n: what's going on?!!!

Y/n looks back at Signora with anger in her eyes

Signora: this is your challenge
Y/n: challenge? What are you talking about?!
Signora: you and Childe here, will fight each other, deciding your fate!
Y/n: my fate?
Signora: yes... you must fight one another. Who ever wins shall be the strongest amongst them... who ever dies first loses
Y/n: and what if I refuse?!

Signora smirks. She then snaps her fingers and a wall opens up behind her. Behind the now opened up wall is a cage with Diluc inside. He has bruises across his face and his mouth covered, unable to talk, and restraints on his hands, tied behind his back. Signora walks up to him and gestures a dagger up to his throat

Signora: if you refuse, he dies. And if you lose... you'll receive the same punishment
Y/n: no... please! I'll do whatever you want!!! Just let him go!!
Signora: oh but this way is a lot more interesting. You failed to get here on time, and now you face the price!

Y/n faces Childe with sadness both in their eyes

Childe: ...they found out I let you go... they have my family... I need to do this
Y/n: Childe I'm-
Childe: please... don't make this harder then it already is

Childe starts hovering in the air, transforming into his foul legacy form. He lets out a loud roar then crashes into the ground. Slowly rising up to look at y/n

Y/n: H-How on earth am I supposed to fight him without a weapon or my powers?!
Signora: oh right! That little detail!

Signora throws in y/n's vision and sword, into the hole with her. She picks them up and prepares to face Childe

Signora: oh... and any funny business, I won't hesitate to but my dagger into his skin.

Y/n looks down at the ground then back up at Childe.

Childe: I'm sorry y/n... I have to save my family!
Y/n: so do I...

Childe charges into y/n and she's dodges his attack. Y/n then uses her sword to attack Childe but he grabs it from her and snaps it. Y/n steps back startled then raises her hand, then shoots electricity into the ground, causing waves in the ground to shock Childe. He then hovers in the air again and raises his weapon, pointing in y/n's direction. He then shoots a massive wave towards y/n knocking her to the ground. When she slowly gets back up, Childe grabs her arm. When he tries to pull her away, he couldn't. Y/n uses her strength and stands still. She raises her head to face Childe. When he looks at her, he sees her eyes glowing purple. He then looks down at her burnt hand. The hand had veins glowing too. Causing Childe to get shocked back onto the ground. He accidentally drops his weapon. Unable to get back up from the pain, y/n picks up his weapon and walks up to him. He slowly transforms back. Y/n stares at him with the weapon pointed at him. She sees how scared he was. She never seen him so helpless before. She then throws the weapon aside and lifts him up

Y/n: I won't kill someone who doesn't deserve to die!!! You had your show! Now let our families go!

Signora smiles.

Signora: we knew this would happen. You were right sir

The hooded man walks forward. Smiling down at y/n. He jumps down the hole, cracking the ground beneath him, with his strength. He makes his way to y/n. She steps back startled. When he stops in front of her, he takes of his hood. And the man in front of her sent shivers down y/n's spine. Tears formed in her eyes

Y/n: D-Dad?!
Signora: that's sir Pierro to you! The first Fatui harbinger!

(Sorry if you don't like this plot twist but like everything will be explained, also for story sakes, this is the direction I thought would work best with how I wanted the story to end. So I hope you like what I have planned but please just wait before you judge my choices lol, also posting today instead of yesterday since I accidentally posted Friday lol)
