Chapter 9

-A Week Later-

Naruto's progress with the rasengan was improving, but he hasn't mastered it yet. He was listening to Jiraiya's instructions and stopped his training at 3 and proceeded to play in the booths while they were still there. While he was wandering around, he decided to play a scratch card game and ended up winning the jackpot. A day later, Jiraiya had a lead to where Tsunade was, so they left towards Tanzaku town. Where they are right now.

After asking around, they decide to go get something to eat. When they enter the booth they spot Tsunade, her assistant Shizune, and her pet pig Tonton. Tsunade and Jiraiya lock eyes before he yells out her name a second later.

"Tsunade!" Jiraiya exclaimed as he made his way over to her.

"Jiraiya!?" Tsunade yelled, annoyed and surprised to see her old teammate.

"Man it took a while to find you."

"What do you want, Jiraiya."

"Alright I'll cut right to the chase. The village has chosen you as the Fifth Hokage. So me and Naruto here have come to get you." Jiraiya motioned towards Naruto as he said his name.

"Why should I go back to that village, where everything was taken from me. And I don't care who this brat is."

"Well you should... after all he is your godson too y'know." Jiraiya said, making everyone's eyes widen. "He's Naruto Uzumaki, son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki."

Tsunade had her eyes wide at hearing that Naruto was their child. She had a godson that she thought died that night along with his parents. She turned to look at Naruto, who was almost an exact copy of his father, and gave him a warm smile while tears were rolling down her face.

Naruto, hearing this news, was left dumbfounded. He had more family. He found more family. Turning to look at her, he saw her with a warm smile with tears rolling down her face. Naruto couldn't help but let a few tears shed as well.

Shizune and Jiraiya watched as Tsunade and Naruto got up, and out of the booth. Once they were both out, they gave each other the biggest and warmest hug they could. Naruto couldn't help but let out a sob at finally hugging someone who was family. Tsunade let out a sob as well but for finally being able to hold someone once again was family.

After they finished their hug they sat back down at the booth and discussed Naruto's life. Tsunade and Jiraiya as well, because he was unaware of how he was treated, were both mad at the village and themselves for not coming sooner. Once they finished eating and discussing, Tsunade agreed to go back to the village. If not for the people, then for Naruto alone. She owed him that much.

Tsunade also told them about the deal she had with Orochimaru. After they devised a plan, they decided to head to a hotel and call it a night.

The next morning Naruto decided to train in mastering the rasengan. Before they left to Tanzaku town, Naruto was able to hold it for 8 minutes without destabilizing it. Naruto tried to hold it as long as he could, before Jiraiya came and made him lose his focus.

"Hey kid, do you have any fire or water jutsus in your arsenal yet?"

"No sensei, I haven't gotten around to it. After my fight with Gaara, I was out till the funeral, and we had to leave right after it was over. So I didn't get a chance to find some."

"Well you're in luck. I have 3 more jutsus here for you to learn." Jiraiya said as he tossed them to Naruto. "Those are Water style: Water Bullet, Fire style: Fire Bullet, and Fire style: Giant Fireball Jutsu. If you finish those, I'll teach you a very easy earth style jutsu for defense."
