Chapter 19: Preparations

Naruto, Hinata, and Yoko arrived at the Hyuga compound without encountering any more distractions. The couple greeted the guards in a polite manner with Yoko copying the two. After entering, Hinata led them to Hiashi's study to ask him for permission to allow Yoko to stay with them while they went on a mission.

After a brief, and very embarrassing, talk with Hiashi, they gained permission for Yoko to stay at the Hyuga compound while they went on the mission. The three were so happy that Naruto almost gave Hiashi a hug, and would have if Hinata hadn't stopped him from doing so. After the three gave Hiashi their thanks, they went off to go find Hanabi so they could have Yoko and her meet each other and bond.

They went towards her room and Hinata knocked and waited until she heard a response from Hanabi. When she didn't get one, she asked out loud. "Hanabi-chan, are you in there?" After no response she turned to face Naruto and his adopted daughter and shook her head. "I'm sorry but it appears that she isn't here."

"That's okay, we could find her later. Let's go to my apartment before the Konohamaru corps get there and yell at me for being late." Naruto chuckled when he realized that he would be acting like his sensei if he would show up late.

"Yayyy! Let's go home!" Yoko yelled while trying to drag her father with her.

-At Naruto's Apartment-

When they arrived in Naruto's apartment, Naruto was surprised that it was actually clean. If Naruto were to be honest, before he left he hardly cleaned so he was expecting to come back to a mess as how he left it.

"Wow, is this your house daddy?" Yoko asked.

"Yeah it is Yoko. This is where your dad grew up." He looked around and saw that it was covered in dust. "And it's really dusty. Hey Yoko, want to see something cool?" After getting an excited and enthusiastic nod, Naruto smiled and sent out a pulse of chakra. The pulse of chakra ended up making the dust fly up a bit and Naruto quickly used a light version of upgraded Wind Style: Great Breakthrough to get rid of the dust. This upgraded version sent a wave of wind chakra from all around Naruto. It was ideally for when he was facing multiple enemies alone because it would hit friends and foes if they were nearby.

"Woahhh! You didn't even move!" Yoko exclaimed. Hinata herself was surprised by the jutsu Naruto used. Not because of the actual jutsu, but the fact that he didn't use hand signs at all to help mold his chakra.

"Naruto-kun, how were you able to use the jutsu without hand signs?"

"Oh well that took a while." He started to rub the back of his head. "All that's necessary for jutsus to work is if you put enough chakra into it and if it's molded properly, and that's where hand signs come in. Hand signs help mold the chakra into how we want. Tiger seals are commoninally affiliated with fire and earth jutsus. Snake is usually with lightning and with earth also. Bird with wind and Dog with water. Hand signs help with molding chakra but it's not necessary. If you feel how the chakra is molded with each hand sign after you do a jutsu, you can eventually mold into how you want."

"But it does take a lot of practice and time. The only reason I have it down is because I can spam shadow clones and use them to do my training since I get their memories and any chakra remaining."

Hinata's head dipped a bit after hearing his last sentence. "So I won't be able to do it?"

"I never said that." Hinata looked up and saw Naruto smiling. "I said it takes a lot of practice and time."

"But you said that the only reason you have it down is because of shadow clones."

"Yes, I said the only reason I have it down is due to shadow clones. I never said that was the only way. Honestly you have a far greater chance to mold your chakra better. With your chakra control and with the Byakugan, you will have a better progress rate than me."
