The Paths of Pain all looked around before they jumped off in different directions, leaving Konan behind to help look for the jinchuriki. She looked around before she took off toward where the Uzumaki's apartment was located, hoping to either find him or get a clue as to where he was located. Halfway there, Konan had to jump high to avoid a chunk of a building that was accidentally thrown her way by one of Pain's centipede summons.

'I'll go down this alley to avoid the rubble.'

When Konan turned to go into the alley, she was met with a dark blue-haired woman with pale and pupil-less running with a small black-haired girl with brown eyes. The two citizens came to a sudden stop and the woman was eyeing Konan.

"Where is Naruto Uzumaki?"

Both girls were visibly shocked at hearing the blonde's name, but the girl that poked out from behind the woman's leg answered.

"You mean daddy? What do you want with daddy?"

Konan's eyes widened slightly. The jinchuriki having a daughter was a surprise. Usually, jinchurikis were outcasts as they were feared by everyone, but this one had what appears to be a loving family based on their reactions.

'Our lack of information on the Nine-tails jinchuriki is truly startling. We'll have to reprimand Zetsu for not keeping a close eye on him.' Konan cleared her throat and faced the small girl. "We want the beast he holds within himself to create world peace."

"By creating a weapon? A weapon only you can use at your own will? Well, think again!" Hinata shouted as she quickly hid Yoko behind herself as she slid into the gentle fist stance.

Konan let out an inaudible sigh as she broke herself into paper shurikens that were thrown towards Hinata at incredible speeds.

Hinata let out a quick breath as she channeled chakra into her fingers and sliced the first paper shuriken in half. Followed by a second, a third, and so forth as her arms' movement speeds increased so dramatically that they appeared to only appear as blurs. Hinata felt one paper shuriken graze by her arm, making a small cut in the process, making Hinata let out a hiss of pain. She increased her speed as she yelled out the jutsus name.

"Protecting Eight Trigrams Sixty Four Palms!"

Konan watched with interest as all of her paper shurikens she sent towards the girls were cut in half, making the paper now useless. She quickly skimmed through her arsenal for something useful, and made half her body break apart as she made paper wings. She brought the wings back before flapping them forward, making large gusts of winds as well as sending more paper down towards the girls.

Hinata clicked her tongue out of annoyance and activated her byakugan to pinpoint the exact distance she'd need to slice the paper, but caught sight of the kanji that was used for paper bombs.

Hinata's mind raced as she thought of a way to quickly deflect them all. She closed her eyes as she began to spin and shouted out the jutsus name. "Rotation!"

The chakra dome that Hinata had created successfully blocked the explosions from hitting her and her adoptive daughter, but the dome was getting wobbly and unstable, causing Hinata to take some of the damage. When the bombardment of paper bombs ended, Hinata's body stopped rotating and she fell onto one knee.

"You're tired and injured."

"Mommy! Are you alright?" Yoko yelled as she quickly looked over Hinata, who was bruised and singed.

"Where is Naruto Uzumaki?"

"You'll... never get it... out of me." Hinata panted out as she looked paler than ever. 'I haven't mastered the Rotation, and this was the consequence of not training harder. I'm sorry Naruto, but it appears this is the end for me. But I swear I'll get Yoko to safety!'
