Once buddying up, you were to inform your supervisors so they could record it.
While the others continue picking their partners, you awkwardly turn to Marcel.
Yuna: Should we go let the captains know?
Marcel: No, don't worry about it.
Yuna: Huh?
Marcel: I've already done it.
Yuna: But when did you—?
He casually smiles as you figure out he'd planned this beforehand.
Marcel: Sorry. I wanted to be organised. I knew there'd be a bunch of people trying to do it all at once.
Although it sounds convincing, you still don't one hundred percent buy it.
Marcel: At least this way we have extra time to talk.
Yuna: 'Talk'?
Nodding to you, he smirks.

Porco: Huh? Why'd you bring that weed?
Yuna: 'W-Weed'?
Marcel: Porco, be nice.
Following Marcel off the training grounds, he takes you to Bertolt and Porco, who are lazing about under a tree.
Forcing Porco to sit up, Marcel shoves him over to make more room under the shade. Bertolt also moves over and invites you to join them.
Sitting nervously, you at least feel comfortable enough speaking with Bertolt.
Yuna: Are you and Porco together, Bertolt?
Bertolt: Yeah.
Porco: Why'd you agree to working with her? She'll just weigh you down— Ouch!
Cutting him off, Marcel smacks his brother over the back of the head.
Marcel: Don't be such a jerk, Pok. I asked Yuna to be my partner, although she didn't really get much of a choice.
Surprised you're hearing him openly admit it, you stare wide-eyed. In fact, he's virtually impressed with himself as he tells Bertolt and Porco.
Bertolt: M-Marcel...
Marcel: It's fine, though. I'll be a good partner.
He then smiles reassuringly. He looks just like an excited little kid.
Marcel: Let's do our best, Yuna.
