(Y/N) had her daggers out. Chrollo summoned his fish from his book. Hisoka's eyes widened in excitement.
"To death." (Y/N) said.
"Inevitably." Hisoka replied with a smile.
She smirked. (Y/N) dashed towards Hisoka with her daggers. The two fish were behind her looking for openings to attack Hisoka. The daggers went by like gray blurs. However, Hisoka was still able to dodge them. Chrollo watched as he saw the colors mold together. Seeing that they were going too fast for the indoor fish to keep up, he turned the page to a different one. Kaze's fan appeared in his hand and the anemones started sprouting. Their roots rapidly grew and went towards the direction of Hisoka.
(Y/N) slashed Hisoka as he dodged the roots from tangling onto him. Chrollo dashed behind Hisoka, attempting to attack him with the fan. Just then one of (Y/N)'s dagger deflected the attack. She narrowed her eyes and used her ren. All her blades were attached to Hisoka's Bungee Gum. Her left arm was also attached. (Y/N) returned her daggers back into her portal. She started throwing hands at Hisoka. The petals of the anemones fell as Hisoka dodged the attacks of Chrollo and (Y/N). As the floor filled with petals, Chrollo waved his fan. The petals started forming around each other before being blown towards Hisoka. Hisoka received cuts on his arms as he tried blocking a few with his forearms. (Y/N) kicked Hisoka in his gut and he was knocked back. A dust cloud formed from the l impact. Hisoka's shadowed figure stood up. He wiped the blood off his mouth.
"We're just getting started (Y/N) ~." His finger flicked back. (Y/N) was pulled towards Hisoka.
"(Y/N)!" Chrollo called. He reached his hand out to grab her, but she moved away too fast. Hisoka punched (Y/N)'s right cheek and kicked her across her abdomen.
"Not bad." (Y/N) spat the blood-forming in her mouth on the ground. She stood up steadily.
Chrollo waved his fan, causing the petals to form again. He sent them flying towards Hisoka once again. He dashed to (Y/N)'s side. The petals were sent flying back at Chrollo. Hisoka put his Bungee Gum on the petals. Hisoka took out a card and threw it in the midst of the petals. (Y/N) saw and activated her nen ability.
It was back at the time where Chrollo was starting to dash to (Y/N). She conjured her daggers again. She made them circulate around her and Chrollo once he reached her. (Y/N) caught the card between her fingers. 7 of clubs. The daggers blocked some of the petals from moving. The petals stopped, leaving Chrollo and (Y/N) with minor cuts.
(Y/N) returned her daggers. Bungee Gum was still attached to them. She mumbled to Chrollo. "You're welcome for saving your life. No more second chances now."
"You already used it?" Chrollo hissed.
"It was either Kaze's ability or Hisoka's card that was going to kill you if I didn't." (Y/N) turned abs glared at Hisoka. "Kurapika killed Franklin, didn't he?"
Hisoka shrugged. "It's only 7 of clubs. How about this one." He threw another card at Chrollo. It landed at Chrollo's feet.
"10 of clubs." Chrollo read. "Bonolenov."
(Y/N) bent over and picked it up. "Is that all for now?" She inquired.
"It is." Hisoka said. (Y/N) grit her teeth. Curse Kurapika. She pocketed the cards. "Enough idling, it's almost midnight."
Chrollo whispered to (Y/N). "If you can keep him still for 3-5 seconds, I can use the ability I stole from the elder of Meteor City." (Y/N) nodded.
She summoned 5 pins from her portal. She flung one straight towards Hisoka who didn't notice. A small shock current was released from the pin. Chrollo dashed towards Hisoka. Hisoka was recovering from the shock until (Y/N) shocked him again. Chrollo placed his hands on Hisoka's arms. Before Chrollo could alternate his hands, Hisoka jumped back. The pin on Hisoka disappeared. He was out of range. Suddenly, Hisoka dashed past Chrollo and started swinging at (Y/N).
"Hurry it up, Chrollo." (Y/N) yelled.
His attacks constantly targeted her. Chrollo got close to Hisoka, attempting to touch Hisoka's arms. Hisoka pulled out two cards and threw them at (Y/N). She grunted and staggered. A card stabbed her shoulder. The other flew past her cheek. Hisoka punched (Y/N) down through her abdomen. (Y/N) coughed up blood. He then turned to Chrollo and kicked him back. (Y/N) pulled out the card from her shoulder and picked up the one that flew past her cheek. 5 of spades and 8 of diamonds, Phinks and Shizuku. That only leaves Machi and Feitan alive. (Y/N) hissed as the pain from the card hasn't subsided. She wobbled up. She looked across from her as she saw Chrollo do the same. She looked at Hisoka. They were all bruised and bloodied, but (Y/N) seemed to be in the worst condition out of all of them.
"Hisoka, look up." (Y/N) struggled to say.
"It's almost midnight, isn't it? Maybe another 15 minutes until it ticks midnight."
(Y/N) summoned a single dagger and held it in her hand. She advanced towards Hisoka with her dagger in hand. It was her turn to continuously attack Hisoka, but her attacks were more sloppy than before. Chrollo took out Kaze's ability again. His attacks backed her up.
"Chrollo." (Y/N) started. "Phinks and Shizuku died." Chrollo hummed in response. She knew he was in pain, but he didn't have time to mourn while they were in a battle. She then confessed, "I lied."
"What do you mean?" Chrollo questioned. The two continued to exchange attacks against Hisoka.
"Your twilight path will stain red on the blooming floor- The spring breeze's desires come under the moonlight- A rose will grow in blossoms in your cor - And your moon will inevitably set in the dead of night-." (Y/N) cited.
"Was that your fortune?"
"Yea." Her voice was quiet.
Hisoka smirked. He brought out two cards and threw them at (Y/N) and Chrollo. (Y/N) eyes widened. She breathed out, "All the members died." Chrollo tensed. Hisoka threw the cards, but at the same time lowered his defense. (Y/N) drifted back and launched her dagger towards Hisoka's throat. Chrollo touched one of Hisoka's arms. To their surprise, Hisoka threw two more cards. The cards landed and stabbed one of their eyes. An explosion occurred over Hisoka's body.
(Y/N) and Chrollo felt a stab in their hearts. In sync, they coughed up blood. Their visions blurred as they met the ground.
(Y/N) looked at Chrollo's eyes. "Hey Chrollo..." She grunted. "I can't go back in time to restart." She gave him a struggling smile.
"Save your breath." Chrollo looked at her and said in a hushed voice.
"I can't. I don't want to miss the chance to say everything again." (Y/N) let out a pained laugh. "Thank you for kidnapping me. I never thought I would have this much fun again. I enjoyed every lonely moment with you even when we argued. I love you, Chrollo Lucilfer." She coughed up more blood.
Chrollo eyes widened a bit. "I think I love you too, (Y/N) (L/N)." A gentle smile played on his face. "Thank you for staying with me until the end... my spring breeze."
"I wanted to, my bright flower in the meadow." (Y/N) said with a smile. She inched her hand towards Chrollo's. "If only I could freeze time and we can stay like this together."
Chrollo held her hand. "And spend every dreadful spring together... in our miracle in the disguise of misery." Their hands intertwined and their eyes slowly closed as they admired each other in their last few moments.
"I'll see you next spring with everyone else." They said together with a soft, pained, and content smile.
