I shiver ran down my spine, as a sense of unease ran through me.
"You're all getting out thanks to me!" Says a short old man, who walks up, followed by a woman, who I assumed was his wife. However, they both stop as they see the person outside.
"Is that blood on his mouth?" Someone asks from behind me.
The gates fully open, coming to a stop, as it was now silent. No more machine noises could be heard. There was a very tense silence, as we all took in the features of the person standing just outside the doors.
A bark could be heard, coming from the woman's dog that I had seen before. This sound, seeming to catch the attention of the person outside.
Suddenly, the persons mouth opened up wide, so far that the skin tore and bled. Many edged teeth and a long tongue could be seen emerging from its mouth.
The tongue shot forward, crashing into the glass doors, cracking the glass. Everyone backed away in fear.
"Lower the gate! Hurry!" Someone yelled, as the person then rammed through the glass door, walking into the building.
At a closer look, the person was no person. It was a monster.
The creature stalked forward, its tongue waving around and leaving a trail of blood. I dropped my box, backing away as the tongue came close to me.
Luckily, I was just out of its reach. However, the deliveryman wasn't. I stare in shock, as the deliveryman who had stood beside me just moments before, was now strung up in the air, the creatures tongue holding it up.
Panicked screams could be heard as the building residents all scrambled in different directions.
The mans body shook in the creatures grasp. It seemed as if it was drinking his blood. The creature dropped the body to the floor, revealing the body to look like a dried out fruit.
