"Isabella, are-are you okay?" I looked up and saw Neville,
"Yeah, I'm okay Nev."
"You're crying. Why?" He sat next to me
"So many reasons."
"Do you want me to stay here for a little bit?"
"Yes please." I said and I looked at him. He put out his arms and hugged me. I hugged him back and he didn't let go. It seemed like he needed a hug too. After a few minutes I pulled back from the hug, "Thank you. I needed that." He smiled and got up,
"I'll see you later." He waved and walked away.
I put my feet up in the bench and hugged my legs to my chest. After a minute or so I got up and went upstairs to the common room. I hoped it had been empty but it wasn't.
"Hey, hey, hey." George jumped up off the couch and came over to me, "What happened?" I didn't say anything. I just leaned into him and he put his arms around me, "Is it about Cedric?" I started to cry again but I wasn't sad, I was angry.
I let go of George and turned to face Fred, "This is all your fault."
"Mine?" He asked, offended
"Yes. I figured it out. I was just using Cedric as a distraction from you. And unfortunately he figured it out before I could stop it. And-and I didn't mean to but I did it because I never stopped loving you and I thought that if I was with someone else my feelings would change but they haven't. Even after all this, I still love you and I don't know what to do now." my voice got louder as I spoke and I ended up yelling the last sentence.
"Okay. Why don't we calm down?" George offered, trying to diffuse the tension(hehehe)
"Please don't tell me to calm down right now." I said in a warning tone
"Bella, you can't-"
"Don't you think I know that? You think that I wanted this? Because I didn't. I don't. I just lost Ron and Hermione, I lost Cedric, Harry has other things to focus on that are more important than me, and I've never been more confused about you than I am right now."
"No. I mean you really can't love me."
"What do you mean?"
"You know how you told me that I should try to move on?" He looked hesitant. I looked up at him down shook my head with pleading eyes begging him to not say it, "You can't be mad at me. You're the one who was begging me to move on."
"And now all of a sudden you listen to me."
"I wasn't just going to sit around waiting for you to come back and be the second choice."
"But you see, you were actually. You insisted that you still wanted to be with me for weeks. You would've waited if I hadn't told you to move on."
"So you were fine with me just being the second choice?"
"If you couldn't tell, Fred, you aren't the second choice. Without meaning to, I made Cedric the second choice to MOVE ON FROM YOU!"
"Woah, woah, woah, what's with the yelling?" Harry asked as he walked into the common room. He looked over to me then over to Fred and I could tell he was about to try to defend me on something, "Fred. What did-"
"He didn't do anything. It was me." I told him and went up to my dormitory.

Two weeks had passed, Cedric and I made up and decided to be friends and Fred and I were working on it. Fred started casually seeing who else but Angelina Johnson. Hermione and I were talking again but the boys were still right where they were before. I was down in the Hufflepuff common room with Cedric,"Dragons?" I asked, not sure if I heard him right
"Dragons." He nodded
"And this is why I didn't want you putting your name in." I rolled my eyes
"Yeah, yeah I know." He shook his head then tucked a stray hair behind my ear, "Sooo... your birthday is in two days."
"You remembered."
"Of course I did."
"Loyal as ever, Mr Hufflepuff." I teased him and smiled. He smiled back
"What do you want for your birthday?"
"Nothing."
"No, what do you want?"
"I don't want anything, Ced."
"Okay... What's your favorite kind of cake? Chocolate right?"
"Yeah."
"Since you won't let me get you a gift, I'll make you cupcakes."
"Okay. That sounds really good."
"Perfect." I smiled, "Cupcakes it is." Behind us the big clock hit 11:00 pm, "Hey, let me walk you upstairs, okay? So you can get to bed."
"What is so different about us now than it was when we were dating?" I blurted out
"No kissing." He offered, confused at my question
"I don't know what's happening with us. Nothing feels different."
"Nothing is happening, Bell."
"We broke up. Things are supposed to be different."
"Maybe things aren't different because we weren't meant to be together in the first place."
"Do you mean that?"
"Don't get me wrong, I loved my time with you but I love this time that we spend together too." He held my hand, "Everything happens for a reason. Maybe my reason was for you to realize how you still felt about Fred."
"I didn't mean for it to end that way." I started playing with the hem of my shirt, "And it's not like it did any good anyways. He's currently off on a 'casual date' with Angelina."
"Oh, I'm sorry Bell."
"No it's fine. Our time has passed. We had what we had and I guess that chapter is over now and I have to move on to my next one."
"I never told you that we were completely out of the picture when we broke up. I told you to take some time to think about where he and I stood. If you're over him-"
"Cedric, I'm not going to let you be the second choice again."
"What if I want to be?"
"You deserve so much more than that."
"Alright fine. But can we agree on this? If anything happens, we don't fight it. We let it happen and see where it takes us."
"Okay." I nodded
