~smut warning~

The next afternoon, after my classes, I walked down to the kitchen to go to the Hufflepuff common room to see Cedric. I tickled the painting and the portrait swung open, I walked inside and saw none other than Cedric Diggory covered in flour. He didn't notice me when I walked in,

"You got a little something on your face there, Diggory." He chuckled and pressed his tongue to the the inside of he cheek and looked up at me, "Need a little help?"

"Well... you see, I was trying to make you cupcakes for tomorrow, and the house elves offered to help but I wanted to do it on my own and without magic. And it has come to my attention that I have no idea how to make cupcakes." He said

"Well, lucky for you, I know how to make them without magic. How about we clean up this mess, start over, and I'll help?" I offered, walking over to him

"That's probably a good idea."

"Yeah. It definitely is." I pointed to the bowl, "Because it looks to me like you've completely forgotten about adding flour to the batter rather than just your face." I teased him and pointed to the bowl of flour he obviously planned to put in the mix but forgot. He smiled and shook his head

"Oh Roberts, what would I do without you?" He put his arm over my shoulder

"You, sir, would have some very runny cupcakes. If you could even call them cupcakes."

"It was a rhetorical question, you jerk."

"I know. But teasing you is way more fun then accepting the appreciation." He reached into the bowl and before I had time to react, he wiped the batter on my nose. I gasped, "Hey!"

"What?" He asked innocently. I wiped the batter off and scrunched my nose at him and his expression softened for a split second then he scrunched his nose back, mocking me. We stared at each other for a few seconds but it felt like minutes, until he cleared his throat and started to clean off the counter, "So um, hows everything with Fred?" He asked, not looking at me

"I've learned from an inside source that he was never going on a date with Angelina. He just told me he was so I would stop being hung up on him." I busied myself with cleaning so I couldn't see his face when he heard this,

"Does this mean you're..." He trailed off

"...going to try to get back together with him?" I finished for him and he nodded, "No. It doesn't." He looked up at me, "I told you yesterday, I think my time with Fred has come and gone. I need to move on to the next point of my life."

"Does the next point in your life involve me?" He asked hopefully the went back to cleaning

"Okay, let me ask you this: do you want to get back together with me?"

"I do."

"Then ask me out." I leaned against the counter

He looked at me, "Simple as that?"

"Try it and you'll find out."

He narrowed his eyes at me, "This feels like a trick." I shook my head

"Just ask me."

"Okay, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes."

"It was was simple as that." He shook his head with a smile, "And now I can do this." He placed his finger under my chin and tilted my head up. Then he leaned in a placed a soft kiss on my lips.

"If you wanted to be with me so much, why did you break up with me?"

"I dunno. Maybe because I though I was holding you back from being with the guy you love."
