***

Base on Season 5
Ava was at the mall with her mom and uncle Sam. Sam and Dean were in town visiting Bobby on a case and they decided to hang out and that Sam was going to watch out for the girls while Dean talks to some people around town.

Ava was looking at stuff while her mom and Sam were talking looking at clothes for Ava to wear.

The clerk was watching Ava as she touched the items and put something in her pocket.

Clerk: excuse me miss
Ava: *looks up surprised* uh yeah?
Clerk: I need you to empty your pockets
Ava: excuse me? I was just putting away my phone
Clerk: empty your pockets
Ava: are you serious? You've been following me this entire time. If I stole something I'm sure you would know

Another clerk comes over.

Clerk 2: what's going on?
Clerk 1: she's been stealing and now she's refusing to empty her pockets
Clerk 2: miss I'm going to see what's in your pocket
Ava: this is insane! I haven't done anything! Check the cameras

Just then Cassie and Sam walks over.

Cassie: what's going on here?
Clerk 1: we are handling a situation

Both Cassie and Sam looked at Ava.

Ava: *sighs* this woman has been following me around the entire time we have been here
Clerk 1: we have reason to believe-
Cassie: your only belief is racism, let's go

Sam shook his head disbelief at them and helps Ava and Cassie out the store.

When they got to the impala. Sam got in the front, Cassie was in front seat obviously upset, and Ava was in the backseat.

Ava: mom, I'm telling you the truth, I did not shoplift
Cassie: *sighs* I know. I know. I believe you, come here

Ava moves forward and Cassie gives her a hug and Sam smiled at them.

Cassie: you okay?
Ava: yeah, *sits back* I'm good. Other than wanting to take a bat to the whole store
Cassie: yeah, I know that feeling
Ava: *looks at her mom* it happened to you?
Cassie: of course. Happens all the time. I walk into this store back in our hometown in Ohio, and... they told me to dump out my bag, and I hadn't even gotten to the damn dressing room yet.
Ava: so, what did you do?
Cassie: I was humiliated. But instead of walking out with my head held high. I swallowed it, and dropped my credit right in the store. You know, just to prove a point, just to show them. I didn't even wear the shit. So stupid
Ava: Mom, you never told me
Cassie: I was hoping things would be different for you
Ava: well... apparently not
Sam: Ava, we need to talk to you about racism. There's going to be people out that are going to look at you and your mom differently because your black
Ava: I'm not black, I'm mixed
Cassie: that doesn't matter sweetheart, they will still see you as black woman because of the color of your skin
Ava: *sniffles* what are we going to do?
Cassie: honestly sweetheart I don't know

Cassie looked at Sam and he sighs and puts the car in drive.

Sam: seatbelts

Ava put her seatbelts on and Sam droves off.
