Chapter 22: I'm Pregnant

Ava isn't born yet. Sam is away at Stanford.

Dean was getting ready to go on a hunt when their was a knock on the hotel door. He went to answer it and looked surprised.

Dean: Cassie...
Cassie: *tears* hey Dean... we need to talk
Dean: *confused*

Dean looked frozen on the bed when he heard that one word come out of Cassie's mouth "pregnant".

Dean: how is it possible
Cassie: well when a man and woman
Dean: yeah I got that Cassie. I meant I thought we wore protection
Cassie: I don't know maybe the condom broke
Dean: I don't break condom Cassie
Cassie: what condom did you use? we're they expired
Dean: you told me you were on birth control!
Cassie: I was! But- oh crap
Dean: what?
Cassie: what condom did you use Dean

Dean showed her the condom he uses.

Cassie: *looks* Dean... these are no good
Dean: what do you mean they're no good I bought them- oh shit. I'm sorry Cassie I'm such an idiot
Cassie: it's okay Dean
Dean: no it's not, because of my mistake we are in this position, what are we going to do?

Both Cassie and Dean were talking about the pregnancy when John came into the room.

John: Dean... *looks between him and Cassie* uh... hi Cassie
Cassie: hi Mr. Winchester good to see ya again
John: what is she doing here Dean?
Dean: *sits up with Cassie* dad... I know I was supposed to get the items for you for the hunt but something came up

Cassie was waiting on the couch hearing John yell at Dean in the other room.

John: what the hell is wrong with you boy, do you not have any common sense boy!
Dean: dad Im sorry-
John: I told you to stop messing around with girls. You're a grown man now Dean you should know better, now look what happened! You got the girl pregnant and now she's scared to talk to her parents about it
Dean: she was thinking about getting an abortion
John: that is not an option Dean and you know it
Dean: it's her body/decision dad not mine
John: what do you want?
Dean: I'm with whatever decisions she wants
John: Dean, really, what do you want, don't focus on Cassie right now. You're the baby's father too
Dean: I think she should keep the baby
Cassie: I'm not keeping the baby
Dean: Cassie...
Cassie: Dean I'm not raising this child on my own
Dean: it's my responsibility too, I'm the one that knocked you up. I should have been more responsible
Cassie: Dean... with the life you live, how are you going to be able to raise a baby. I don't want my child to end up like you. I want her/him to have a normal life like I did
Dean: and I can help you do that. I can quit the family business for a while get a real job and help support me and my family
John: Dean...
Dean: dad, I need to do this. I don't want Cassie to give up on our baby because of how we were raise. She wants our baby to live a normal life and that's what I'm going to do
John: and hunting?
Dean: I don't know maybe Bobby can be your back up. Look dad, you told me to grow up and start being a man in this situation and take responsibility for my action and I am
John: *sighs* I guess I have no rights to judge huh
Dean: what do you mean?
John: your grandfather didn't really like me for some reason and always pushed me and Mary away, he didn't approve of us being together
Dean: wow I didn't know that dad, you rarely talked about mom
John: its been hard and I hope the same thing won't happened to my children, knowing what's out their now. Cassie. I really you should reconsider your decision
Cassie: *tears form her eyes* my parents
John: you want me to talk them, maybe we can arrange something?
Cassie: yeah, I don't know how I'm going to tell them, I can't dropped out of college now they'll kill me. They will kill me more when they find out I'm pregnant
Dean: but Cassie you're an adult now, they will understand, it's not like you got pregnant at 16
Cassie: yeah but my parents still pay for my college and dorm. What if they cut me off and tell me I have to pay everything myself. If I did that I would have to get a job and quit school cause I can't look after my baby and what do I tell them how I met you. They don't even know monsters exist because I can't tell them all that
Dean: Cassie breath...

Cassie took some deep breaths with Dean helped and she relaxed.

John: before we bring Cassie back home we should take her to the clinic to make sure she is pregnant because sometimes pregnancy test aren't always a go. I remember when we were trying for Baby number 2 and our first attempt did not go so well-
Dean: okay dad you don't need to keep telling us stories about you and mom like that
John: boy please I wasn't talking about sex. Mary was just late on her period-
Dean: *covers ear* la la la la
John: *roll eyes* grow up Dean, you're going to have to learn about this one day with your future kid
Dean: not if I have a boy
Cassie: *roll eyes* excuse me
Dean: uh... I mean I wouldn't mind having a daughter too
Cassie: hmm, and thank you John
John: of course, you and my future grandchild are my priorities now, and the first thing we need to do is keep the two of you safe
Cassie: *smiles* thank you, and thank you Dean for stepping up to help and raise our baby
Dean: of course, I don't want to be that type of dad who isn't in their kid life. I want my child to know I will always be here for them

Cassie smiled and kissed him, John and Cassie went to set up an appointment for Cassie and the next day they went to the clinic and found  out that Cassie is 1 month pregnant which means that Dean was indeed the father.
