The following morning, Harry and Ron had slowly managed to find their way to breakfast, sharing rather similar feelings

"I feel like I've been hit by the knight bus" Harry mumbled into his folded arms as he lay with his head against the table

"I feel you, mate. My head is still spinning every time I move"

There was a gentle murmur amongst them inside the hall as other students went about their mornings, completely unaware of the antics that came from the 8th year common room the night before

"Where's Hermione then?" Harry asked

"Said she needed to go to the library, God knows what for but you know her, any excuse"

"Maybe you can ask her now?" Harry nodded towards Hermione, who was making her way down  the hall to sit with them

"Morning boys" she spoke cheerfully, climbing into the bench

"You're rather spritely today? I thought you'd be feeling the worst out of all of us!" Harry joked

"Well, I do have a little secret" she began, leaning into the table and lowering her voice "I felt utterly dreadful this morning when I woke, so I headed down to the library to see if I could find a cure for this... feeling" she paused, pouring tea into her mug "I managed to find an interesting concoction... ginger tea and dittany"

Hermione gave a proud smile as she lifted a vial of liquid from her pocket discreetly

"You wake up feeling an awful comedown and decide to go brewing potions? You're mad" Ron uttered, shoving spoonfuls of food onto his plate

"Laugh all you want, but this little vial mixed with my tea is going to make me feel completely peachy again"

She uncorked the vial carefully, eyeing over her shoulder first before slipping it into her tea and swirling the spoon. Yellow smoke rose from the mug and bubbled excitedly. She gave an apprehensive look toward to boys before slowly taking a sip and waiting for the effects

"Well? Feel anything?" Harry asked. Hermione sat for a moment, waiting to notice any changes she felt inside or out until gradually, a smile appeared on her face and a look of surprise

"I feel... much better!" she gushed, pleased with herself "My nausea is gone and my headache is fading too"

Ron reached over to take the mug and went to sip but just as he brought it to his nose he inhaled and wretched "Bloody hell, Mione! Didn't want to mention anything about the smell?" he hacked a cough

"I admit it's not very pleasant but aside from that, it works Ronald"

Ron grimaced and braced himself, taking one quick swig and gulping it down straight away, wiping his mouth "Its... actually not bad... once you get past the smell anyway"

He straightened up in his seat and smacked his lips pleasantly "Blimey, I actually feel so much better. You really are brilliant, 'Mione" he kissed her cheek and returned to his food "Want some Harry?"

"I'm alright mate, this is my third cup of coffee" Harry smiled, practically hugging his warm mug "Right now I don't know whether I want to fall asleep or climb up the walls"

"Suit yourself" Ron took one last swig of the drink, then grabbed two pieces of toast and began piling eggs, bacon and sausage on top of the slice, creating a breakfast sandwich which he eyed up eagerly before inhaling it

Neville came over and slumped beside them, looking rather worse for wear. His eyes were still red and the colour drained from his face

"Hey Neville, how are you feeling?" Harry asked
