Hermione, Ron and Harry entered the common room after dinner on Saturday, it was pouring with rain outside so quidditch practice had been cancelled and the majority of the 8th years had retreated to the common room for the rest of the evening

"Hermione!" Pansy called, gesturing her over to the beanbags with a wave. Ron followed reluctantly with Harry behind him, who was pleased to see Draco after a long day but hating having the keep the distance

Draco was curled in the corner of the sofa reading, alongside Blaise who shot up as the trio arrived

"Ron, fancy playing some Wizards Chess, mate?" he asked

Ron hesitated for a moment, but realised if he was going to spend time with any of the Slytherins, Blaise would probably be his first choice anyway

He shrugged "Sure" and walked over to the side table where a board was already set up

"Aw, It's so sweet to see them getting along" Pansy beamed

Hermione looked over at them, then smiled back at Pansy who was painting her nails a bold shade of red "I agree, it is rather sweet watching them spend time together and not be at each others throats"

Harry had wandered over and placed himself quietly on the beanbag unsure of where to go next. Things were still awkward with Pansy since their confrontation and he didn't want to risk getting too close to Draco, especially with her so close by. He offered a quick smile her way then pretended to focus on something else

Hermione, completely oblivious to Harry and Pansy's previous talk chirped up whilst trying to pick out a shade of nail polish from Pansy's elaborate collection

"So, I hear the professors are beginning to plan the end of year celebrations for our graduation, it's rather exciting isn't it?"

"Oh my gosh! I'm so excited, Hermione" Pansy gasped, eyeing up a bottle of silver nail polish "I'm planning my dress already, and my hair, my nails, my makeup and more importantly which pose to strike when I enter the party"

Draco chuckled, peering over his book "A little much, don't you think?"

"Absolutely not. This will be the last time a lot of these people will see Miss Pansy Parkinson, I need to leave an impression so no one forgets me for the reunion in 30 years time"

"The reunion?" Harry scoffed

Pansy gave an obvious look "Duh. While you lot are all wrinkly and grey, I'll still be looking extra fabulous. Jaws will drop when I make my entrance. What can I say? It's in my genes"

"Wrinkly and grey?" Hermione repeated

"Not you, darling, of course. You're a queen" Pansy winked and pouted a kiss in Hermione's direction, holding up a different bottle of varnish "What do you think of gold?"

"Ew, no. Too fancy for me" Hermione said

"I'd just like to point out that I won't be wrinkly in 30 years, I have a very particular skincare routine" Draco boasted

"What a plonker" Ron muttered from beside them

"I heard that, Weasley and you won't be laughing when I Pansy and I look drop dead gorgeous in 30 years!" he winked at Pansy and returned to his book smiling. Harry caught his attention and rolled his eyes at Draco being stupidly gorgeous

"Will you help me pick out a dress, Pansy? And maybe some shoes... and help with my bushy hair... I'm terrible at that sort of thing, I wish I had your confidence" Hermione blushed

Pansy laughed sweetly "Of course, of course but you know you're already beautiful, right?"

Hermione's cheeks grew pink as she cowered in her seat
