AINSLEY DOESN'T KNOW WHY SHE AGREED TO THIS. Here she is, trekking miles deep in a deadly forest with Clarke, Bellamy, Murphy, and Wells. The five of them were the only ones willing to come after Jasper. She was roped into this simply because Murphy asked her too, but really, Ainsley thinks it was Bellamy's idea to begin with. The sun is a silent killer. It's rays beating down on her, and she can't help but blame being locked up for her obvious lack of cardio.

"So, Ashter," Murphy says, falling in step beside her. "How does a girl like you end up killing her parents?" The question is mostly to help cure his very obvious boredom at being dragged on this rescue mission, and to quench his curiosity.

"Why did you set the guards' living quarters on fire?" Ainsley fires back smugly.

He looks stunned for a minute which makes Ainsley chuckle. It must be shocking, considering Ainsley doesn't even remember him from the Ark, but she has heard people whispering about what he had done to be a criminal. She winks at him before moving ahead of him to follow the others, ignoring the protective glances Bellamy's sending over his shoulder in her direction.

"Hey, hold up," Bellamy says, causing the entire group to stop walking. "What's the rush? You don't survive a spear to the heart."

"I wonder… Is it morbid for me to wonder how it felt?" Ainsley asks, immediately falling silent at the looks she received, some horrified, and some surprisingly concerned. Maybe she really is crazy.

Ainsley only realizes Bellamy has a gun out when Wells tells him to put it away. She rolls her eyes. It isn't the wisest choice to put it away when who knows what or who is watching them right now. They could be attacked, unless it's Wells' plan to allow most of them to die before ever raising a weapon.

"Jasper screamed when they moved him," Clarke interrupts. "If the spear struck his heart, he'd have died instantly. It doesn't mean we have time to waste." Clarke starts to move again, but Bellamy grabs her wrist.

"As soon as you take this off." Bellamy holds Clarke's wrist up. "We can go."

"The only way the Ark is going to think I'm dead, is if I'm dead. Got it?" Clarke says through clenched teeth, seizing Bellamy up all the while glaring at him.
