AFTER TWO DAYS, AINSLEY WAS FINALLY ABLE TO RETURN TO GUARD DUTY. To be perfectly honest, it's been nice going back and forth with multiple jobs; she's been a major help to Raven with the split loads, helping John and Octavia in the meat furnace, and guard stuff with Bellamy. Raven and John have tried telling her to slow down and take it easy, but Ainsley isn't that great of a listener.

She was just on her way out from the meat furnace and heading towards Raven's tent, when she overhears the tail end of Raven's conversation with Finn once again. Finn was once again apologizing to Raven. Ainsley quietly scoffs and rolls her eyes. It's a bit stupid, really. Raven had let him go, has tried so hard to move on with her life after being broken hearted, just for the likes of Finn to keep showing up without even understanding what he's apologizing for

Ainsley waits until Finn leaves before carefully entering the tent. She's first greeted by a very distraught and angry Raven slamming things into a bag.

"Look, I'll be the first very loud advocate that Finn is an idiot, but what the hell are you doing, Raven?" Ainsley asks, giving her a look with furrowed eyebrows. "I know what it looks like, but I hope I'm wrong."

"I'm leaving," Raven mutters darkly, throwing various items in her bag. She turns to Ainsley, then, nearly hopeful. "I see the way they look at you, Ains. Come with me. I could use a body guard."

The comment is so flippant, a joke, but Ainsley is still blown away in surprise by the offer. Ainsley swallows thickly. Even if she wants to leave camp, she hasn't exactly forgotten what happened to the last person she was alone in the woods with. He was kidnapped and tortured. Never again. Absofuckinglutely not

"Where would we go, Rae?" Ainsley presses. "The Grounder's are gearing up for war. A stupid war. Do you really think we'll stand a chance outside these walls?"

"It's better than staying here." Raven sighs, placing her bag around her shoulder. "I know we can survive. Do you trust me?"

"It's not about trust!" Ainsley didn't mean to shout, but this is coming so out of the blue, and she doesn't want Raven to go. And she knows she can't go with her. "I can't leave. I.. I can't leave John, Raven. They'll kill him if I do."

"Then we take him with us –"

"Come again?" Bellamy's voice booms as he enters the tent without bothering to knock, apparently, and gives Ainsley and Raven a look that she can't quite detect.
