"Air. Water. Earth. Fire.
When I was a girl, my grandmother Katara used to tell me stories of the old days, when she and my grandfather, Avatar Aang, heroically ended the Hundred Year War. Grandpa Aang passed away many years before my birth, but I got to be close friends with the new Avatar, a girl named Korra. Korra accomplished many amazing feats during her life, and performed her Avatar duties well, but one day tragedy struck, and the Avatar passed away. Dictators rose to power in the Earth Kingdom, and established the second Earth Empire. They made slaves of their own people, and while they pose no threat on an international level, their citizens live in terror. The other nations refuse to get involved, and the Avatar is gone. But I'm still holding out hope that a new Avatar will rise and take a stand against tyranny, once and for all."
