When Sophie woke up that morning, she was super happy. She had only a week until the start of her last year in high school, and today was the day she was going shopping.
Not only was she going shopping, but Della and Edaline had gotten together and decided that Sophie, Biana, and the two moms would be shopping together. They were also going to be getting tons of Senior pictures done too.
"Good morning," Sophie said with a grin as she walked into the kitchen.
"Good morning," Edaline said back, handing Sophie a homemade yogurt-parfait. "Are you excited for today?"
Sophie nodded, staring to eat her breakfast. "I am. What time are we leaving?"
"As soon as you're ready," Edaline told her. "Della and I wanted to get a head start so we have plenty of time for pictures."
Sophie nodded again and ate the rest of her breakfast in silence. Once she'd finished, she ran upstairs to get dressed and ready.
She grabbed a pair of black shorts, her converses, and a red t-shirt. She left her hair down and brushed her teeth before she grabbed her phone and made her way back downstairs.
"I'm ready," Sophie announced, walking to the front door and seeing Edaline wait for her.
Edaline smiled before they both headed out the door and to Edaline's car. "Della and Biana will meet us at their dress shop—we're doing all our shopping at the mall." She looked over at Sophie nervously.
"Sounds good to me," Sophie said with a shrug as they started driving away from the house. "Honestly, I'm not afraid of the mall anymore."
Edaline nodded. "Alright, I just wanted to make sure."
They drove to the mall pretty quickly and then made their way inside. They walked to the escalator, rode it up to the second floor, and made their way to Della's shop.
"Yay, you guys are here," Biana said with a grin when she saw Sophie and Edaline. "Let's get shopping!"
The next thing Sophie knew, she was being dragged through stores. She was tossed clothes, shoved into dressing rooms, and was made to model out every outfit. Biana did the same thing—though she most definitely modeled them better than Sophie did—and by the time they'd left that store, Edaline and Della had bought both of them five outfits.
The four of them ran through all of the clothes stores in the mall until they each were holding three bags in their hands.
"How about we get some lunch," Edaline suggested, checking her phone. "And then we can start looking for shoes and accessories."
Sophie rolled her eyes and groaned while Della and Biana agreed happily. It wasn't that Sophie particularly hated shopping or trying on clothes, but she did hate when shopping took too long. She really just wanted a few new outfits and not a whole wardrobe.
"When I move out," Sophie said with a laugh as they made their way over to the food court. "I'm doing all my own shopping."
Biana smirked at her. "That's what you think,"
Sophie rolled her eyes again as they found a table. They decided that Della and Edaline would go get the food while Biana and Sophie watched their stuff.
"So," Biana said after a beat of silence. "What's your favorite thing that you got so far?"
Sophie racked her brain. They'd gotten her so many outfits that it was hard to decide on which one she liked the most. Some of them even ran together in a blur.
