I was against them fighting. All I wanted was a normal day to sit and watch re-runs of Teen Wolf and eat leftover pizza.
We came to the ball park and I whispered to Austin.
"You don't have to do this." I told him.
"Connie, I have to do this." He said.
We all gathered in the middle of the ball park and it wasn't long before Bryan, Justin, and Rikki made their way over to us.
"What's going on?" Bryan asked, looking suspicious.
"Okay, how's this going down?" Austin asked Chase, ignoring Bryan's question.
"This is ridiculous!" Chase said. "All I wanted to do was hang out with these two girls."
"You don't need to be anywhere near these girls!"
"You've always been this way!" Chase yelled.
"What are you talking about?"
"You always have girls falling all over you and when I see a girl I like, you take her away."
"Maybe it's not me taking them away." Austin told him. "Maybe it's the way you treat them, ever thought about that?"
"Hey, I treat girls with respect." Chase wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close to him. "Right Connie?"
Austin's fist flew through the air, made contact with Chase's face, and the fight was on. Fists were being thrown and blood was flying everywhere. Me and Rikki were screaming for them to stop. They didn't listen. The fight went on for about fifteen minutes before we started to hear sirens.
"Go, get out of here!" Matt started yelling. Bryan and Justin started running while Austin and Chase continued the fight, oblivious as to what was going on.
"Girls, run!" Matt yelled, again, as the police started coming closer. Rikki started running and I knew Nicole wasn't leaving without Matt, so I grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the scene. We ran back to my house and ran up the stairs, to my room, before my parents saw us. Rikki sat on my bed, I leaned against my wall, and Nicole paced back in forth. I thought I was hearing things, but someone was really crying. I looked up, expecting it to be Nicole, but to my surprise it was Rikki. I sat beside her and rubbed her back in a soothing way.
"Don't worry, Rikki. Austin will be okay." I told her.
"Yeah, Austin can take care of himself." Nicole pitched in.
"You don't understand!" Rikki sobbed. "Chase is our cousin!"
