I laid on my bed, my phone in my hand. I just stared at the blank screen, a bored look plastered on my face. I unlocked the screen on my phone and went to my phone book. I found Austin's number and sent him a text.
Me: Hey....
I waited for him to reply. He never takes longer than a minute, but this time I waited two minutes and still no reply. I sighed, locking my screen, again. I started rubbing my forehead.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
I unlocked my phone as quick as possible and saw a text from Austin.
Austin: Sorry couldnt find my fone.
Me: Its fine.....
Austin: Wuts wrong?? /:

I waited a full minute before I got a reply.
Nicole: Fine... Ill txt u n min.

I waited three minutes before I got a call. I answered it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hey." Nicole greeted me. "Did you say you wanted to talk to me?"
"Yeah, I'm gonna invite Rikki, a girl from football, over tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to come over, too. It'll be a big sleepover." I explained. I waited a little while before she sighed.
"Connie, if this is a trick to try and get me and Matt together, it's not gonna work." She said. I crossed my fingers behind my back.
"Don't worry, it's not. I just need a. . . Girl's night out. Maybe we could get some pizza and stay up all night watching Teen Wolf or Hollywood Heights." I assured her. It was silent for a while.
"A girl's night out?" She questioned.
"Yes. A girl's night out is exactly what I need." I told her. She waited a while before speaking.
"Alright, fine. When do you want me to come over?" She asked. I celebrated, silently, to myself.
"My dad will come get you after practice." I said.
"Okay. I'll go pack." She said.
"Okay, bye."
"Bye." She hung up and I sent a quick text to Rikki.
Me: Wanna come ovr 4 sleepovr??
She, immediately, texts back.
Rikki: Sure!! :) Who all gonna b there??

I tossed my phone in my bag and smiled to myself. This is perfect.
