"Nicole?!" I demanded. "Matt?!" They pulled back and stared at my exasperated expression. "What is going on here?!"

"Connie, I can explain." Nicole started.

"I don't see why you would need to. I mean, I just saw everything!" I snapped.

"But you don't know the story."

"I don't need to."

"Please just let me explain!"

"Get out." I said those two words, but it shocked me when I did. Nicole and I have been friends sence birth and have never got in a fight. It shocked her and Matt both, also. Ugh. . . I couldn't even stand to see them so close to each other.

"What?" Nicole whispered, her eyes starting to water.

"Get out!" I yelled, louder now. As the tears began to poor out of her eyes, she ran out the door. Matt looked at me.

"What?" I growled.

"What do you think you're doing?" He snapped.

"Me? What about you? You're the one kissing my best friend! I thought you met a new girl!"

"I did. . ." I wanted to gag at that. Just the thought of Nicole and Matt loving each other. . . Yuck!

"You've been hangging out with her? But she's been having cheerleading."

"I went with her."

"Oh, so she can't make time for her best friend, but she can make time for her boyfriend." It took all my power to get boyfriend to excape my lips.

"It's not like that!" Matt shouted. I ignored him and went right to my bedroom, holding a pillow to my face and letting the tears start to poor out.

Ribs didn't seem like something that could cheer me up, no madder how many I ate. I went to bed early and layed awake the entire night. Seeing your best friend and your brother kissing isn't a good thing to see the day before a practice. Really not a good idea. Trust me.
