Tip of my tongue

My parents don't understand
How hard I try to fix things and fit in

Maybe I should just slit my wrists
And give in

I don't belong here anyways.
I wish they would see how hard I try

But my efforts are sent to waste.
The words left unsaid leave a strange taste on my tongue.

I'm sorry if I lose my battle.
Just know that you helped me stay a little longer.

I love you more than words can express.
And if anything, I hope this makes you stronger.

I hope maybe one day I can impress
Those I love with the words left on the tip of my tongue

Or a blade to my wrist.
