“Hi, Winter.” May naupo sa katabi kong upuan. Nakangiti at maaliwalas ang mukha.

“Yes?” I smiled back at her. Mahirap na. Baka masabihang attitude.

“I heard that you were just seventeen years old, turning eighteen this year. Why is that? I mean third year college's age is actually ranging from twenty to twenty-one or so on...” That's her concern why she approached me.

“I was two years accelerated way back in elementary. Hindi ako nag-grade four at five. Grade six agad.” Sabi ko.

Amazement drawn in her caramel eyes. “Why is that?” She can't believe, I know.

I shrugged my shoulders. “I studied in Harvard University during my grade one to three. My family transferred back here in the Philippines and enrolled me in local schools. But they told me that what I knew was taught in Grade six level. So...there.” I explained.

“Miss La Galliene, I think you suit in my class.” Ani Miss Ferrer.

“Oh, sweety. I would be very grateful if you will be listed in my master's list.” The cream section adviser, Miss Zambia, butts in.

“Miss La Galliene, for sure you'll be having a lot of friends in my class! You are so pretty and kind.” Miss Sena joined the

Mom told me, “You decide, anak.”

I heaved a sigh, look back on those teachers. “Bato-bato pick po kayo. Kung sino manalo, ka niya ako.” Simple kong sinabi.

Napanganga sila sa sinabi ko.

“Ah, gano'n pala nangyari.

“Excuse me for a while, girl.”

I rolled my eyes.

She giggled.

I winced. “You should have put inside your backpack that gossip. So trashy, Raia. I'll hang up na.”

The moment our last two professors came in to introduce themselves to us and vice versa, we were dismissed.

I'm in the middle of fixing my stuffs when a pair of black leather shoes stop in front of me.
