A Plan in Action

I told them the plan.

We would go back to the cottage Colin and the Second were in, then we would take them back to the castle, and put them in the dungeon until their beheadings.

I teared up in realization I would watch my brother die, then remembered it was for the greater good.

I lead the group back to the cottage.

We walked in, and everything was where I left it.

"Evren, you get the Second. He's stronger than Colin," I said, not wanting to show weakness.

On the inside, I was breaking up.

I had to kill my brother.

Wouldn't you be upset?

We left the cottage, and headed back to the castle.

We arrived.

Evren lead the man holding Colin to the dungeons, the rest of the army going back to what they were doing before.

As soon as we arrived in my room, I cried.

"What's wro-" Wilbur started, but realized the answer to my question.

"Wil, I-I have to kill my brother!" I said between sobs.

He lead me to my bed and we sat down.

The twins left the room, as to give us privacy.

"Shh, darling. It's alright. It's what you need to do," he comforted.

I laid on his shoulder and held his arm, as though he would disappear if I let go.

I soon fell asleep.
