Chapter 2

Y/n pov:

After school I went to our school's first soccer practice of the winter season, so it was indoors. I changed and headed out onto the turf. I only saw one person I knew, Ellie

"Hey El" I said as I ran up to my best friend

"Hey bitch. You ready to get whipped into shape by Mr. Parker?"

"Wait, Parker's our coach?"

Mr. Parker was one of the best coaches but he was also the most brutal

"Yup, we're going to die"

Just then Anna and some of her friends came out onto the turf as well

"Looks like your rental sister's here y/n"

I turned around and I saw them walking towards us

"Really dude?" I said turning back to her

"I'm not really wrong am I?"

"You kinda are though we're not-"

"ALRIGHT LADIES ATTENTION HERE" I heard Mr. Parker yell

Everyone sat down on the bench and payed attention to him because no one wanted to do extra laps or extra something else

"My name is coach Parker and here is our assistant coach, coach Meyer" he said pointing to the tall man standing next to him

"Hi ladies" he said as he waved

There was a murmur of greetings and then coach Parker started talking again

"I want to get to know all of you so let's start on this end of the bench-" he said pointing to the far side of the bench, where Anna and her friends were sitting

"-and say your name, position, and favorite color"

One of Anna's friends, Emmi, started

"Uh hi I'm Emmi, I play defense, and my favorite color is red"

We kept going down the bench

"Hi my name's Julia but everyone calls me Juj, I play defense as well, and my favorite color is blue"

"Hey I'm Anna, I play midfield, my favorite color is white"

I zoned out until I heard Ellie introducing herself

"I'm Ellie, I play forward, and my favorite color is yellow"

"Hi I'm y/n, I play midfield, and my favorite color is either purple or blue"

I zoned out again until I heard coach Parker talk again. We did our warm-ups, did some drills and since we were "fooling around too much" we were already out of time. I walked out into the parking lot and my cleats fell out of my bag

"Shit"

I grabbed my cleats but as I bent down I felt all my stuff fall out of my bag

"Come on, really?"

I started picking up my stuff and I heard footsteps behind me

this is probably either Ellie or im about to get kidnapped... that would suck...

I looked up and I saw Anna

"Do you need any help?"

"Uh yeah that would be great, thanks"

"Yeah, no problem"

We picked up my stuff and put it back in my bag, then we both thought the other was going to walk the other way but it turns out we both parked in the same area

"Well this is awkward"

We both laughed

"Well now you just made it worse"

"Did I though? or are you just jealous that I can make things... unawkward"

"Couldn't be me... also is unawkward even a word?"

"Well now it is. Call up Webster, tell them the need to fix their book"

We both laughed again and Anna got to her car

"Tell the fam I said hi"

"I will" she said with a chuckle, getting into her car

I walked to my car a couple spaces down and drove home
