Chapter 8

A/N: I'm just going to change this little detail in the story: y/n and Anna are both going to be seniors so they have some classes together. Just trust me on this

Y/n pov:

I woke up, showered, got ready for the day, and went downstairs for breakfast. The routine for a school day. I got to school and Ellie was waiting for me at my locker

"Hey"

"Hi simp"

"Oh my god, are you ever going to let that go?"

"Nope"

I sighed and grabbed my stuff for Math, my first class, and started walking towards the classroom

"So did you two kiss?"

"Oh my god will you just leave us alone? I haven't even told her I like her yet"

"Fine... but did you guys-"

"What did I just say?"

"You're mean"

"But you're still friends with me" I said as we walked into Math class

~time skip to lunch~

I sat down with Ellie where we normally sit at lunch and Anna and her friends sat down next to us

"Hey guys"

I could tell Ellie was already smirking at me so I flipped her off under the table. That shut her up.

"Hi" Emmi said because she was the closest to me

"Didn't you guys used to sit over there?" I asked pointing to a table on the far side of the cafeteria

"Yeah but we were tired of the guys being douchebags and we wanted a change of scenery because we've sat there everyday for like 2 years" Anna replied

"Makes sense"

I was done eating but we still had 10 more minutes until our next class so I was going to go up to the roof but I saw out of the corner of my eye that someone was following me so I went into the bathroom and Anna walked in behind me

"Where were you going?" she asked me

"I was going to go up to the roof but I didn't know who was following me so I wanted to play it safe... do you want to go up to the roof with me? We have 10 more minutes until English"

"Sure, I don't think I've actually ever been up to the roof before"

I took Anna's hand and led her to the staircase leading up to the roof, we ran up the three flights of stairs and I opened the door to the roof

"Woah" she said when she saw what I had done

"Since no one besides me comes up here, I decided to make it my own"

In junior year I grabbed some old chairs and my parents had an old firepit that they thought they'd thrown away but I grabbed it and put it up here so I could sit up here at night with a fire going, I also put up some fairy lights to complete the setup. I put all of this behind the door so that if people actually came up here they wouldn't see what I did they would just see the bare roof

"I actually don't think I've shown anyone this, not even Ellie... I mean I would've but she's scared to come up here" I said with a chuckle

Anna ran over to one of the chairs and sat down
