Chapter 5 - Shopping spree (2)

Anna went to the largest mall in the city, which was under Empire Corp. she went to a few stores to buy some sets of clothes for daily use.

She bought twenty sets and after that she went to the shop which had gowns, dresses and suits for both men and women, all of them were party wear.

She started checking them one by one, the attendent had obviously seen the bundle of bags that Anna was already carrying and all of them were very expensive ones so, she directly went to Anna and started accompanying her and told her the highlights of all the dresses.

Joannie saw this and thought that if Anna buys anything more beautiful, she would be overshadowed, so she quickly went behind her and said with surprised voice," Oh my!! Sister are you also shopping, what a coincidence!!! ". When the attendent saw Joannie dressed in a tight red dress she could only think of one word to describe her - 'Seductress' .

Anna turned back to look at Joannie and said in a voice as melodic as a violin and calm as a river," Oh! Good to see you too." Her every action was graceful, calm and elegant and she had an air of majesty around her.

Joannie suddenly felt embarassed because it seemed as if she was the only one who wanted to talk and not the other person. But, she was experienced so she did not show it but instead said to Anna in a coquettish voice," Sister, I came to buy a dress for your banquet tomorrow, I guess you also came for the same reason so, why don't we shop together? ".

Anna did not even have a slightest change in her facial expression that was neutral, one could not make out whether she was happy or sad, then she said in a flat tone," Sure, why not! ". Both of them started exploring the shop.

Anna saw a beautiful pink dress that had gorgeous gems embedded on them, which made it look like the dress of a fairy.

)Anna did not have any intention to buy that dress, she was just looking at it because it was very bright, it was obviously not her style but Joannie, who could play the role of both a white lotus and also seduce people did not have enough presence of mind to know Anna's intention, she thought that Anna liked that dress and the dress was so beautiful that if Anna wore it with her original innocence,maybe even Ben would prefer her over Joannie so, she tugged on Anna's sleeves and said with puppy eyes, " Sister, I want that dress, it looks so beautiful, can I buy it? it's okay if you like it I will look for something else"

Anna knew that Joannie had misunderstood her intentions and gave a light chuckle but she had no interest in correcting her, looking at her face that was good looking on outside but rotten on inside she wanted to puke on it, but she kept her calm and acted to look a little reluctant but then said in a coaxing voice, "If my sister wants it how can I say no?" she turned to the shop attendent and said in a firm voice,  "We will take this dress, please pack it"

The shop attendent felt bad for Anna because it was obvious that she wanted it but just because her sister also wanted it she gave in, she could see through Joannie's act but chose to keep quiet and silently nodded and left.

Joannie felt satisfied and all her previous doubts and worries about Anna were washed away.

Just beside that pink dress there was a tight black dress, with a long slit, the neck area was very low and the back was also only covered with strings.

Joannie looked at that dress and then at Anna, she knew that Anna was also looking at the pink dress but still said, "Sister, I see that you are looking at that black dress for quite sometime, so why don't you buy it and wear it at the banquet?" She wanted to ruin all her reputation.

By this time the attendent had come back and after listening to Joannie she pitied Anna even more, she had heard that they were choosing dresses for a banquet so how can one wear such a dress at an auspicious event while being the main host of the banquet and thought that, how can one do such things to her own sister.

Anna wanted to laugh badly after seeing Joannie's cheap tricks, because in her previous life too, Joannie had made her wear something like this and as a result, in her first public appearance she becane famous as the shame of the Hall family and Joannie appeared like an angel who came to be known as more suitable for becoming the heir of the Halls Corp.

Anna acted as if she loved the dress and motioned the attendent to pack it too. After that she turned to Joannie and said,"Joannie, now that the shopping is done you should go back, I will pick some matching black jewellery and shoes for the outfit and then return okay? Do you want something else?"

Joannie thought that she just wanted to embarrass Anna,but now it seemed like Anna was determined to make a fool out of herself, so she quickly picked a pair of pink heels and gave them to be billed because she was not the one paying the bills.

But, Anna was also not so stupid so she paid half of the bill and asked Joannie to pay the other half, Joannie was going to get angry at first but when she heard Anna say that it was just because she still had to save money to pay for her shoes and jewelry Joannie let it go and paid half of amount after that, she left with a happy face.
