"Wait, one question!" Leorio emphasized as the old lady kept explaining
We must only answer from the numbers 1 and 2 and other answer is deemed incorrect
"Hold on, so the four of us have to share the same question?" Leorio exclaimed
"So if Kurapika here got the wrong answer I get disqualified too?" Leorio added
"Not very likely but if the roles were reversed it would be all but inevitable" Kurapika corrected making Leorio grunt
"it's okay even if one of us knows the answer all four of us get to move on" I said reassuring the two while Gon nods in agreement
"Guess you're right, I'm really bad at quizzes so I don't really know" Gon agreed as he scratched his head
The two also agreed with me while a man who looked like he was participating in the exam interrupted our conversation
"God hurry it up or I might answer the question before the rest of you get a chance" The man bragged as he came closer to us
"Who the heck are you?" Leorio questioned getting irritated
"He's that dude from the port!" Gon exclaimed as he pointed at him
"You see he's been following us very closely ever since we left the port" I explained as the man smirked
"Yeah sorry man, I couldn't help but eavesdrop on your conversation but I couldn't help but hear you guys talking" He responded as he smirked
"Let's let him go first, If we do we get to hear the question and he's answer" I stated making the three agree with me making way for the man
"Now here is your question" The old lady announced as a horn blared
"A group of evil villains have kidnapped your mother and your true love but you can save only one of them" The old lady revealed the question making us confused
"Pick number one for your mother and number two for your true love" The old lady concluded, the man smirked and hit the button in front of him to answer
"Obviously number one" he answered as the old lady asked what was his reasons for picking number one
"It's because my mother can't be replaced and as for my true love they can be changed anytime" The man added as we waited for an answer from the old lady
It was a long silence before the old lady signalled the man that he passed. We all had the look of surprise as the man smirked in victory
"Guess the right answer is what the old lady wants to hear, Adios then" The man teased before moving on to the exam
We were all surprised and confused now that we know what to do, but how do we know that we got the right answer? Is it really because of what the old lady favored?
"Ugh I've had enough of this I'm finding my own way around here!" Leorio shouted but was stopped by the old lady
"If you leave the quiz you will be disqualified, so I don't really recommend that" The old lady announced making Leorio angry
"Grr, that's nuts! Different people would have answered that in different ways! So there's really no correct answer!" Leorio shouted as I came to a realization
"There's no right answer?" Me and Kurapika mumbled in unison making the two of us look at each other the old lady must've noticed
"Enough!" She interrupted Leorio who was still complaining
"I don't wanna hear another word from you, say another word and you'll be disqualified from the quiz" The old lady threatened as I smirk knowing the answer
Me and Kurapika looked at each other before nodding signalling that the answer is nothing, there is no right answer, but these two don't know that and if we tell them we get disqualified
"Now here is your question" The old lady started as the horn blared
"An evil group of villains has kidnapped your son and your daughter, you can only rescue one of them" the old lady finally revealed the question
"Pick number one for your son and number two for your daughter" the old lady concluded as Leorio and Gon were struggling to guess the right answer
As the lady was counting down Leorio was getting a wooden stick from the side getting ready so when the time is up he will hit the old lady
"4...5...Time's up" As the old lady finally announced as Leorio jumped up to hit the old lady
I rushed in front of the old lady to catch the stick Leorio was holding
"Out of the way Y/n! That old hag needs to be taught a lesson!" He shouted as he kept pushing me as I resist
"Would you calm down Leorio!" I snapped making him back off for a second
"Look we already got the correct answer, do you seriously want to ruin that?" I sighed as he looked at me confused
"We did?" Leorio said dumbfounded as Kurapika interrupted to explain
"The answer was silence any other answer would have been incorrect, however we had to answer one or two as a response" Kurapika concluded still making Leorio confused
"Look you said it yourself that there was no correct answer and you were right" Kurapika added
"But that other guy made it through didn't he?" Leorio questioned in disbelief
"She never told him he was correct all she did say was "you may pass", which means this is not the path to the hunter's exam am I correct?" I stated to the old lady who chuckled before standing up
"Yes, you are correct" She stood up from her seat as she showed us the real path to the hunter exam
"It will be a two hour walk and you will see a cabin, a couple lives there and will serve as your navigators, only if you live to their expectations" She explained as Leorio calmed down a bit
Leorio apologized to the old lady while Gon was on the ground still contemplating on what the answer is, We told him that the quiz was over but Gon was convinced that what if someday it will happen to him and he won't know the answer
We bid farewell to the old lady as we head down the path that we were told to
