Kurapika squinted his eyes at the morning rays hitting his face, he also noticed Y/n wasn't next to him and assumed he woke up very early, he was right about his assumption since he heard pans and fire crackling outside his tent
He peeked outside to see Y/n cooking breakfast for both Isunavi and him, the sight of Y/n cooking made Kurapika smile, He then went outside of the tent to stretch and to greet Y/n
"Good morning Y/n" Kurapika greeted Y/n who was peeling off the skin on the apples
"Oh, [Good morning Kurapika]" Y/n greeted stiffly in Kurta language which made Kurapika very surprised
"Did I get that right? Sorry if my pronunciation is wrong" Y/n chuckled in embarrassment
"How do you know Kurta language?" Kurapika asked Y/n as he sat down next to him
"I learned a lot of languages while growing up, Also I was curious to see if I can master the Kurta language" Y/n responded to Kurapika who was still in a state of shock, he hasn't heard or said anything in his mother tounge in a while
"What's wrong? Did I offend you?" Y/n blurted out because he noticed Kurapika frozen on his spot
"What? No no it's just that I haven't heard anyone speak in Kurta language in a while, it triggers a lot of memories" Kurapika assured Y/n who was very worried that he might've pissed off Kurapika again
"Oh okay that's good to know, the first time I saw the Kurta language was in one of the books I found in our library" Y/n explained as he ate the peeled apples
"That's good to know" Kurapika smile bitterly as he also ate an apple
"Well I'm still getting the hang of it, here try and listen" Y/n faced Kurapika who was eating at the moment
"[Hello my name is Y/n nice to meet you]" Y/n said in full Kurta language making Kurapika choke on his food
"Was it that bad? Here" Y/n stated in confusion as he offered Kurapika glass of water
After Kurapika has calmed down Y/n noticed Kurapika trying to hold his laughter, this made Y/n hurt and happy at the same time
"Just say that I'm bad at the it, you don't need to make fun of me" Y/n frowned at Kurapika who was still trying not to laugh hard
"No no it's just that the tone you use to pronounce is- pfft" Kurapika stifled his laughter making Y/n also laugh in embarrassment, Kurapika eventually calmed down and taught Y/n the correct way of saying it
"Hmm so that's how it is, guess it's a lot hard without a mentor" Y/n mentioned making Kurapika frown, Y/n noticed this and panicked
"Oh no what I mean is that I'm glad to have you by my side to teach me" Y/n blurted out in a panicked tone making Kurapika confused while blushing
"Ah wait that seemed wrong, what I mean that is that-" Y/n tried to explain in a way to not create a misunderstanding between the two, this made Kurapika laugh making Y/n confused and somehow relief
"Thank you Y/n" Kurapika thanked Y/n who was still a mess after blurting out words that could've caused a misunderstanding
"It's been a while since someone made me laugh like that" Kurapika chuckled as he scratched his head, Y/n smiled at the thought and continued saying phrases in Kurta but every time he tries to say a phrase Kurapika always corrects him
"Ugh what's with the noise" Isunavi interrupted as he spotted the two having a light heart conversation, Y/n noticed Isunavi waking up and invited him to eat with them
