"Agh that last test really drained me" Y/n uttered out making Leorio and Kurpika nod in agreement

 As the three were about to head to sleep it was  stopped when Tonpa talked to them about how the test might start during their time of rest, Y/n ignore him and headed to the room to get some rest same goes with Kurapika as he followed behind him, Gon and Killua were with Netero the chairman of the hunter association Y/n had saw them earlier and looked like they were playing a game, Gon invited Y/n to play with them but he declined since he was very tired at the moment 

"So much things to do to become a hunter" Y/n breathed out as he positioned himself to sleep, Leorio was already asleep and as for Kurapika he was getting ready to sleep

"Goodnight Kurapika" Y/n said before dozing off, As he slept he felt a head on his right shoulder and without even looking he could tell it was Kurapika, the boy smiled to himself before falling asleep

"Nicolas!" Y/n and my brother shouted to get his attention, he was talking with the other guards as Y/n and his brother ran up to him

"How may I be of service to you two boys" He greeted as he patted their heads

"It's our free time, can you tell us more stories about your hunter adventures?" Y/n's brother exclaimed as Nicolas laughs at his cute action

"If that's what you want young master then leave it to me" Nicolas bowed before opening the door to his office

"Now what story do you two want to hear?" Nicolas asked as he brewed them the tea he always makes before he goes on about his stories, The tea he makes is always good because it's always brewed by him

"Tell us about that time you encountered a magical beast that can transform into a human" Y/n exclaimed to Nicolas who chuckled as he brought the tea to the table Y/n and his brother was sitting at 

"That magical beast you're talking about is called a Kiriko, when you become a hunter you might be able to meet one" Nicolas explained to the two boys as he took a sip of his tea, they also took a sip and it never fails to amaze Y/n how delicious the tea was 

As Nicolas was about to tell the story about his adventure Y/n suddenly felt someone lightly shaking his right arm, his eyes shot wide open as he saw Kurapika staring at him, thier faces were really close with each other making the both of them back up from each other

"T-Thanks for waking me up Kurapika" Y/n stuttered as he had his eyes on the floor while his cheeks flushed red 

"Yeah n-no problem, They announced on the speaker that we already landed so I decided to wake you up" Kurpika continued as his gaze was glued to the floor, they stayed still like that for seconds before Leorio shouting at the two of them to hurry up

"Uhh...we should get going" Y/n smiled awkwardly to Kurapika who nodded in agreement

The location of the third phase exam is called the trick tower, the only way to pass this exam was to reach to the ground level of the tower and they had only given us 72 hours to make it out alive and to pass, the test have already started and Leorio was already complaining 

"Heh this is going to be easy" One applicant said as he went on the edges of the tower and tried to climb down but was soon eaten by some kind of dinosaur looking birds

The examiner announced on the speaker that climbing from the sides of the tower is not advised and will only cause death, the only way to the bottom of the tower is to go inside the tower

"They could have told us that sooner" Y/n had thought to himself as the five of them have been thinking of how to get inside of the tower

As the five boys were thinking of how to get inside Y/n had noticed that there are only half of the applicants left, that means they have probably found an entrance already, Y/n looked at the ground to inspect and have guessed that some of the floors are probably trapdoors

"Guys let's split up" Y/n said making the four look at him in confusion

"The only way to get in is probably through these floors, so let's split up and look for one" Y/n explained as the four nodded and went on different ways

As Y/n inspected the floor tiles carefully he decided to push the tile a little bit to check if it was a trapdoor or not but as he pushed it, It felt like he was suddenly pushed by the door, He fell on his butt making him groan in pain, as he was gonna stand up he noticed a particular aura coming from the corner of the room 

"Hisoka!?" Y/n shouted as he backed up a little bit, he was shocked by the fact that he was in a room with the last person he could think of 

"Oh it's you, I guess we will have to go through this test together" Hisoka smirked as he walked past Y/n to the stand where it has watches for them to put on

"Do we have to put this on?" Y/n asked as he grabbed the other one, as he puts on the watch it revealed a timer, it read 71 hours and it means an hour must've already past 

"The two of you have to choose the same option on your watch and If not the doors you two will be going through will not open" The examiner announced making the two look at each other before pressing the same symbol to open the door 

As the two were walking through hallways and door to door none of them decided to speak up, it was a long silent walk for the two, finally the two opened a door leading to a room, the room they were in was dark but was light up by candles

"I've been waiting for you, Hisoka" A man full of scars greeted Hisoka who simply smirked

"I'm not the examiner this year. I'm here for revenge" The man continued 

"Ever since the last exam all I've thought is killing you" He added as he stood up and pulled out a sickle, this made Y/n have goosebumps all over his body for a second

"And today I get payback for all the scars that you gave me!" The man shouted as he got into stance, Hisoka only laughed at the man

"Those scars are but a symbol of your incompetence as an Examiner" Hisoka grinned at the man making him irritated

"Don't blame me for your inadequacies" Hisoka added as the man with the sickle started spinning them, Y/n moved to the corner to watch their fight and stood still until it was over 

As the man was spinning the two sickle's he then brought out two more as he threw the other pair on the air, he threw them all at Hisoka who was able to dodge it gracefully, the blades did land on Hisoka and it made a deep cut on his shoulders, He then decided to stop playing around and caught the two blades the man threw at him, This made the man quiver in fear as Hisoka got closer

"Are you okay back there?" Hisoka looked over at Y/n who was at the corner, Y/n was confused at first but then nodded as a response 

Hisoka then proceeded to cut off the head of the man with no hesitation making Y/n look away, Y/n was never really the type to be into fighting ti'll death but when there is no choice he will gladly do it

 Y/n looked over at Hisoka who threw the sickle on the floor and noticed the deep cut on his shoulder, Y/n rummaged through his bag finding a gauze to give to Hisoka, He was hesitant at first but seeing him fight like that made Y/n a little impressed

"Catch" Y/n said as he threw the gauze to Hisoka who caught it 

"It may not be enough but it will reduce the bleeding" Y/n stated avoiding his gaze on Hisoka making Hisoka smirk at his random act of kindness 

The two then continued their way into the tower and finally reaching the ground, it looked like they were the first to finish the tower but as soon as they entered the room another applicant also had arrived, it was the applicant who had needles on their face and another applicant who was the ninja

 Meanwhile Kurapika was worried sick about Y/n, he couldn't stay still in the room their in, Leorio noticed Kurapika in distress so he had to calm him down 

"Don't worry about him too much, he's strong enough to defend himself Kurapika" Leorio assured Kurapika who was pacing around the room

"He's probably already at the bottom of the tower, we'll just have to catch up" Gon exclaimed who was also trying to calm Kurapika down 

"Y/n...please be okay" Kurapika prayed and ignored the thought of Y/n getting hurt or even getting injured
