It has been exactly two hours since the exam began and the applicants have traveled more than 30 kilometers from the starting line, none of the four boys know when it's gonna end and they are having a hard time matching the leader's pace

Y/n looked behind his back and noticed that applicants have already started to drop out, he was also getting tired but that doesn't mean he's gonna give up

"Hey, wait up, kid!" Leorio shouted to the boy with white hair 

"How bout you show a little respect for the exam?" Leorio continued to the boy who was riding a skateboard instead of running

"What do you mean?" The white haired asked in confusion making Leorio grunt

"What I mean is quit using a damn skateboard, That's cheating!" Leorio shouted to the boy

"How?" The boy asked again as Leorio fumed

"Because this is an endurance test, that's how!" Leorio grunted to the white haired boy 

"No, it's not" Gon started getting the attention of the two, Leorio was about to lose it as Y/n told him to calm down

"The examiner only said we had to follow him" Gon explained making Y/n agree with him

"Hey, whose side are you on, anyway?" Leorio shouted to the two boys defending the white haired

"Ugh, just let him use his skateboard, no one is saying it's against the rules" Y/n rolled his eyes making Leorio even angrier

"Hey, how old are you?" The white haired boy asked as he went closer to Gon and Y/n 

"Twelve years old" Gon answered the boy, The white haired then faced Y/n asking his age

"Oh I'm eighteen years old" Y/n answered the boy making the two boys surprised

"Wow you're old" The white haired boy stated making Y/n hurt at the comment

(Sorry if that's too old I made it so that you're a year older than Kurapika)

After the white haired asked for their ages he went down from his skateboard to match with the two boys pace, This caused Gon and Y/n to be awed by his skill

"That was cool!" Gon exclaimed to the white haired

"My name's Killua" He introduced to the two boys

"Hi, I'm Gon"

"I'm Y/n" 

The three boys shared a smile before looking forward to match the pace with the other applicants

Y/n noticed that Leorio slowed down to catch his breath so he stopped in his tracks to wait for him, Gon noticed this too making him also stop, The three boys looked over at Leorio waiting for him

"C'mon let's go you two" Killua said to the two boys who kept their gaze at Leorio

"Ugh screw this, I'm becoming a Hunter, no matter what!" Leorio shouted as he ran faster to catch up with the other applicants

The two boys chuckled at Leorio's action as they both decided to do the same and catch up with the other applicants

"We have reached the eighty kilometer mark, Now let's pick up the pace a bit, shall we?" Satotz announced making the applicants grunt in frustration

Y/n decided to relax a bit but didn't change his speed, he knows that if he panics his breathing will change making him lose air faster, He looks over to his right to see that Leorio has undressed his top so that his clothes won't get sweaty same goes with Kurapika making Y/n chuckle

"Are you okay Leorio?" Y/n asked the man who was sweating a lot

"Great, I've never been better, If I forget how stupid I look It's a whole lot easier to keep going!" Leorio shouted before speeding up the stairs, Y/n and Kurapika looked at each other before doing the same

As they were sprinting on the stairs Kurapika asked Leorio why he really wanted to become a hunter, this caused Y/n to also listen because he wanted to also know, Leorio hesitated at first but was later convinced because of Kurapika's story about the scarlet eyes, Y/n already knew the story but was really curious about Leorio's

Leorio later revealed that he wants to become a hunter so that he can be a doctor, He lived a poor life before and had a friend who suffered in a disease that's treatable but it costs many money, Leorio learned it the hard way and that the whole world runs on money 

"How about you Y/n? I told my story now It's your turn" Leorio said while panting making Y/n surprised for a moment 

"Well you guys already know that I wanna travel the world so that's given" Y/n started as the two paid attention to waht he has to say next

"I'm a Fowler you see" Y/n stated making Leorio surprised

"The family full of sorcerers?" Leorio uttered making Y/n nod

"Yeah and ever since I was a kid we were isolated from the world, my brother and I thought that someday we could go outside to see it but as we grew older it never really came" Y/n sighed as he was sprinting 

"But then one day my father hired a guard that was an ex hunter, He wasn't really intimidating and we grew attached to him, He told us stories of when he took the hunter exam and the missions he took" 

"He also told me about the story of the Kurta clan and how they were massacred, That story was just one of the reasons why I wanna take the hunter exam but seeing Kurapika it really made me want to be a pro hunter so that I can learn more from him" Y/n stated making Kurapika's cheeks flush red

"How's your brother now?" Leorio asked Y/n who was really focused on sprinting

"He's probably mad that I got out of the house and he didn't but when I become a hunter I'll take him everywhere around the world" Y/n added as Kurpika and Leorio smiled at the thought

"Your father wasn't against you being a hunter?" Kurapika asked as Y/n shake his head

"My mother was against it but my father somehow agreed to it, He probably thinks I'm gonna go home and cry because I didn't pass the hunter exam, but jokes on him I'm doing just fine!" Y/n shouted as he pant making Kurpika chuckle 

As the three boys sprinted on the staircase Gon and Killua catched up with them

"See you guys at the finish line" Gon exclaimed

"Catch you later, old man" Killua teased Leorio

"Hey I'm not an old, can't you see that I'm a teenager just like you?" Leorio shouted making everyone confused

At that moment everyone's faces looked at Leorio with a shocked expression

The five boys kept their pace as they saw light coming from the end, many sighs of relief has been heard as they finally reached the finish line

"Hey Y/n" Gon greeted Y/n who was panting a little bit

"Hey Gon, Is this our destination?" Y/n asked Gon who shake his head

"Look the fog is lifting" Kurpika pointed out making everyone look

The examiner announced the location of where they were and how it's a path to go to the second phase, He also explained that they were gonna go across a swamp with many creatures and If you get deceived by the creatures it will surely lead to death, The examiner explained that the only way to not get deceived is to follow him closely

"Don't trust him!" A man who came out of the corner shouted gaining attention from everyone

"I'm the real examiner! He is just an impostor!" The man shouted as he pointed at Satotz

The man pulled a body that looked like Satotz to prove people that he is just a human looking ape, This cause everyone to be confused making everyone nervous, It was soon stopped by Hisoka throwing cards at the man and Satotz, It was obvious who already was the real examiner making everyone sigh in relief 

Satotz explained again that they will encounter that such deception and make sure to not fall for it again, He then got ready and announced that the applicants will continue with their path to the second phase
