i think we ran out of timeSometimes love isn't enough.
Sometimes it won't defeat any odds because there's always something in its path giving it a reason to fail and when the two people in love aren't ready love doesn't prevail; it breaks.
But in other cases, you move on and forget about the love you once had. Though every once in a while, when it's 3am in the morning and you're laying on your bed staring up at your ceiling you wonder what you could've been if life hadn't gotten in the way.
For Sage and River, they had the type of love that you just couldn't seem to forget, the love you tried to move on from but you couldn't because you just found yourself comparing everyone else to them. And you realised that no one will compare because no one else is them.
A star shone brightly in the sky, it was smaller than the others but its light was able to shine just as bright. River stared at the star from outside the plane window, Sage stared at the star as she looked outside her bedroom window.
They were still connected.
As they looked at the star they let their thoughts take control of them, they allowed their minds to wander off into the lands of the what if's and maybes.
So preoccupied with taming their minds they didn't realise that their hearts danced together.

Still love me, his heart questioned.
Always, her heart replied

As the two gazed at the stars that littered and danced in the sky they made a wish, they didn't care for anything else as long as one day it came true.
One day, before the stars go out, before the sun stops rising and the moon stops glowing bring us back to each other. Let us fall in love the way we were meant to.
Even if it's Just Ten Minutes.
