Translated from olden French

Sometime around 1375AD

Virgil looked over to his brother, Janus.

"Come on... We need to get going" Virgil mumbled, pulling his quite old vest down a little. Janus nodded softly, slipping his worn shoes on. Virgil nodded slightly, walking out to the field to help the twos father with harvesting the crops for that season. Winter was coming, they needed as much food as they could get.

"Virgil!" Virgils father yelled, Virgils head snapped up, looking over to his father.

"Yeah?" Virgil called back.

"Me and Janus got the fields! Go get the sheep sheared!" Virgil nodded, patting Janus on the head, who swatted his hand away with an angry pout. Virgil laughed, waving him off as he went out to the small barn. Virgil grabbed the shears, looking for one of the poor sheep that were about to have a less then ideal day. Virgil sighed as one of the older ones came over.

"I'm sorry bud.. Come here" Virgil mumbled, quickly starting on the long process.

Over what felt like half the day, with the sun now shining high in the sky, he was finished, the eight sheep the family had had fully been sheared. He sighed, putting the shears away and grabbing a basket to shove all the wool in. He hefted the basket up, walking into the house.

"Virgil!" Janus giggled, hugging Virgil tightly. Virgil chuckled.

"Help Ma with the wool ok? I need to help dad with the forge a little okay?" Janus nodded, dragging the basket towards the small living room. Virgil smiled softly, walking back outside to the side of the house. He pulled his vest down again, going over to his father who was stocking the forge. "Do you need any help dad?" Virgil father shook his head.

"You go help your mother and Janus now alright? Oh, and someone is coming by to trade us some meat for some of your mothers cloth alright?" Virgil nodded, going to help his mother.

Janus held the bag close to his chest, sneaking through the house, he shouldn't of been doing this, he could get in so much trouble. He shook off the thought, sneaking out the front door, running through the dark to where he knew he needed to go. He skidded to a stop, seeing the boy, younger then even him, curled in a ball.

"Hey.. Nico?" Janus whispered. Nico looked up quickly. "brought you something..." Janus mumbled, digging through his bag and giving Nico some food, enough to last him a few days hopefully. Nico looked at Janus with tears in his eyes.

"Thank you... Thank you so much Janus..." Nico whispered, choking back a sob, giving Janus a hug. Janus nodded with a smile.

"I have to go..." Janus mumbled. Nico nodded, stepping back. Janus smiled softly, quickly running to one more place. He panted in exhaustion, sliding and falling to a stop.

"Hey Jan..." Casper mumbled.

"Hi" Janus said, sitting up. "I got you a blanket!" Casper gasped, fumbling through his pockets to find something to trade Janus. "No, No- It's free, its a present!" Janus said, quickly giving Casper the blanket he had made for himself. Casper stood there mouth agape.
