Hoseok, plastering on a smile, released Namjoon from his death grip

Hoseok, plastering on a smile, released Namjoon from his death grip. He put on a small smile before turning to the mailman near the door.

"You're not interrupting anything," he said simply. He got back behind the counter and sat in his stool.

How does he just go back normal after all of that?!

The mailman cleared his throat, "Are you sure? I could've sworn I walked in on an attempted murder just now..."

"Nothing much, just the usual 'don't break things' conversation," Namjoon cut in, "Don't worry about me, Seokjin. I kinda expected it, to be honest."

Seokjin sighed, finally gracing the younger two with his charming smile. Now that everything was back to normal - well, as normal as it gets -  the young man strided up to the counter.

"Well, what'd you break this time?" Seokjin asked, slinging an arm around Namjoon's shoulders.

"My alarm clock..."

Seokjin stifled his laughter, "And how did you manage to do that?"

"I only threw it against the wall! I don't know how it ended up like that," Namjoon aggressively pointed at the mangled alarm clock. Jin quirked up an eyebrow, but didn't question the destroyed item. I mean, it's Namjoon they were talking about. He simply opted for patting the younger man's head in reassurance.

"Anyways, I have mail for the shop!" Jin proudly handed Hoseok a couple of envelopes.

"Thanks, Jin!" Hoseok said, flashing his dimpled smile. He examined the mail for a second, "It looks like it's mostly just bills, so I'll hand these off to-"

"Say no more."

The three men's eyes widened at the surprise appearance of Hoseok's brother. He snatched the mail from his brother's hands and put on a smug smile.

"Yoongi? What are you doing out in the front? I could've just brought them to the back room for you," Hoseok pouted at his brother. Yoongi never liked interacting with people much, so he mostly worked behind the scenes. The business aspects of the shop were his specialty.

"You're not my slave, Hoseok," Yoongi sighed out, "It's not like I can't come out to the front ever." Yoongi, ever the logical one, just patted his brother's back and moved on. Hoseok perked up at the action. It seemed like his happy demeanor flipped back on like a light switch.

Namjoon, on the other hand, sulked in front of the counter. He had come to the conclusion that his alarm clock was a representation of his life: falling apart. His mind flashed back to all of his thoughts from earlier that morning, yet everything just seemed muddled and confusing to him. What the hell is he doing with his life?

Hoseok frowned at his friend's conflicted form. What had happened in such a short amount of time? Just as he parted his lips to say something, Namjoon stepped back from the counter. His friends turned their heads in his direction.

"I think I'm gonna head back home now," Namjoon gave them a weak smile, "Tell me when my alarm is fixed back up..."

Hoseok gave him an unsure look, "I'll see what I can do. It is pretty beat up." Namjoon looked down in embarrassment before nodding his head at Hoseok's words.

"Make sure you get home safely! Text one of us when you get inside your apartment," Seokjin added, clearly protective of his friend.

"Sure, Jin. I'll see you guys around," Namjoon said his farewells before gracefully leaving the shop.

Well, that's what he wished had happened.

Instead, he opened the door too forcefully, causing the bell to fall off. It fell square onto his head before bouncing onto the ground. As if that wasn't enough, the wind from the open door blew a mature magazine right smack into Namjoon's face.

Blushing, Namjoon ripped the magazine off of his face and stalked over to an outdoor trash can. After stuffing it in (and almost breaking the trash can), he turned to make sure none of his friends had seen that whole scene.

Jin stood in front of the counter with wide eyes, clearly still processing what had just happened. Hoseok gave Namjoon a sympathetic smile in an attempt to ease his embarrassment. Yoongi was in a whole other ballpark of reactions. The man was hunched over in laughter, almost hitting his head on the counter when he tried to go back upright. He paid that no mind, though. He was too focused on laughing his ass off.

Yeah, they totally noticed.

Namjoon's face reddened even further at this realization. He turned his back to the shop in an attempt to hide his face, which could now rival the likes of a ripe tomato. Namjoon decided to just leave before he could fall on his face or something....

A/N:
Idk if I overdid it with the whole "Lol Namjoon is clumsy" charade, but I had fun writing it. Also......IDK WHY JIN IS A MAILMAN NOW-
