Dear Diary
It  has been a month since the demise of my father, and I have ascended to the throne as the Queen of England, as my mother had foretold when I was a child. As a mark of respect to my father, I have decided to wait for a year before actively pursuing a husband. My mother concurs with my plan and is assisting me in finding a suitable English nobleman with royal ancestry to be my consort.

In the meantime, I am in the process of refining my household to befit my status as the reigning monarch. I have set my sights on Edward Courtenay, a male descendant of Catherine of York, who is quite comely. This could work to our advantage, as our offspring would likely inherit our good looks, provided we grow to love each other.

Overall, my focus is on conducting myself with the decorum befitting of my new position and making decisions that will benefit my kingdom.
